I feel compelled to write this review. This is a restaurant that I visit often. Service has been great on all my previous visits. Today (6 June 2025), I actually went inside to order instead of the drive thru. The lady at the register started taking my order. She was wearing a mask and it was a little difficult for me to understand what she was asking as I have a hearing impairment and was not wearing my hearing aids. The first time that I asked to repeat herself, she answered with what I perceived as a little attitude or some frustration. I, in a very polite manner answered her question. The second time she asked me something that I truthfully could not understand, she turned around and asked a young lady to take my order. She just turned around and ask her leaving me standing at the counter. The way she acted make me feel offended as her attitude was now more prominent. The very courteous young lady was very proper and nice, even after she had to repeat herself a couple of times as I truly could not completely hear what she was saying. She, very graciously took my order and filled correctly. I asked her if the lady with the mask was the manager, and she stated that indeed she was the manager. I explained that I was not wearing my hearing aids (had an accident where they were accidentally underwater) and I apologized for her having to repeat herself a couple of times. She was very respectful and very helpful. I like this Popeye's and will continue to patronize it. Because one bad experience with one person does not mean all the staff is the same. I felt that the dismissive attitude of the manager towards a person with a disability is not what Popeye's really stand for. That is why I will not judge this location. I got in and the first thing I notice is that AC works, which is great. I then order and my girlfriend orders (she ordered mashed potatoes as a side. They have no spicy chicken and tell me it will be 13 minutes. This is around 3PM mind you. I say fine just give me regular. I used the bathroom which was typical Popeyes… dark brownish tile, a single toilet and sink, and not very clean. I get out and and the food is ready. The chicken product as is tradition is good. Cooked perfectly. A little on the hotter side which is nice, and good breading. I notice two sides of fries and no mashed potatoes. I go back and ask for the mashed potatoes. The lady at the check out counter said “you both asked for mashed potatoes” I kindly replied no, I remember he saying mashed potatoes. She then gets testy with me. At this point my girlfriend is afraid I’m going to make a scene. Long story short I do not appreciate being called a liar. But I know what you are thinking… it’s he said Vs she said. We no, because on the receipt inwhich she rang up she charged me and selected mashed potatoes. I was there 05SEP2022.

Read moreI went through the drive thru late at night.. just before closing. I asked if they had items before ordering was told they did have what I had asked for. Once I got to the window, however.. that changed. They no longer had mashed potatoes or red beans and rice, which I said just give me the chicken, that's fine. When I checked the receipt I was charged for sides I was not getting? I questioned this to be told I was going to be given Cole slaw and mac and cheese. Instead of asking me they decided to just throw what they had left on me. I told them no, I wanted French fries and mac and cheese that would be fine. I get home to COLD food and a sandwich missing. When I called to let them know it was not there.. I was hung up on MULTIPLE times. Called from my Husbands phone for an answer telling me they are closed. I know that, but I'm calling to tell you that you left an item I purchased out. The first time I called I was hung up on when explaining this and every time I called afterwards she either answered and hung up when she heard me or just picked up and hung up. Either way, I WILL be going back to get my sandwich tomorrow even though he took my receipt. I know what time I was there and used a credit card.. Whoever was working tonight are idiots and should not be running a restaurant especially at close as they clearly have NO idea what...
