Granny's Chip Chocolate Ice Cream — Restaurant in Frontenac

The ice cream here is excellent, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. I had been excited to bring my husband here, talking this place up for weeks. It was disappointing to finally share it with him, only for someone to be rude to him. When he asked for two samples to compare flavors side by side, the man behind the counter (who we believe may be the owner, based on a photo near the entrance) responded with, “You’re done after that,” in a needlessly abrupt tone. If I had personally heard him say that, I would have walked out right then and there. While it's perfectly reasonable to set limits on samples, the way it was communicated came across as abrasive and lacking basic courtesy. A more polite phrasing could have been, "We have a limit of two samples." People who can’t be polite to customers shouldn’t be supported in business. Go to this shop regularly. Tonight I went and got me and my son ice cream. It was after his flag football practice and he was playing at the park after and spilled his ice cream. I went back to the shop and explained what had happened and they gave me another single scoop free of charge. God's honest...
