We traveled to Frostburg on the Frostburg Flyer and were told by the Western Maryland Railway staff that we had only 90 minutes to tour Frostburg and that there was only one place to eat in the area close to the rail station or we could catch the free shuttle to Lashbaugh's West and be back in time to board the train back to Cumberland. We arrived at the restaurant with a sign "wait to be seated". A waitress then told us to grab a seat anywhere and a server would bring us menus. We waited for 20 minutes and grabbed our own menus. When a server finally got to us we were give a special menu for train passengers with limited items. We placed an order for drinks and after getting those 15 minutes later we ordered our food. We then waited for 45 minutes with no food. When the table of people next to us complained that they wouldn't get their food before we had to leave to get back to the train the waitress said our order was being plated and that theirs was next. They got their food finally but we didn't, after waiting an hour. We finally got up to leave and I paid for our drinks. When I complained that we were there before many of those who had arrived after us and that they had gotten their food the waitress said " I'm not the chef". If this place is going to shuttle folks from the trains coming into town with limited time the least they can do is to be sure they have the staff to accomodate all these people. I'm being generous with a one Star rating for the food that...
Read moreWe love the Lashbaughs in Cresaptown so we thought the case would be the same for this one but we were wrong. Unfortunately the food was horrible. We got the nachos as an appetizer and they were horribly dry. They topped it with American cheese, which was like glue, and had already congealed to the top of the chips, the meat had no seasoning and the only flavor came from the "char" which im not sure if it was just accidentally burned. A mountain of pickled jalepenos and huge chunks of tomato. I would have liked a pico de gallo, queso, or sourcream on top but nada. The chips were the only good part of the dish... My grandmother and I got the club with homemade chips, the chips were the only thing we liked. All I could taste out of the sandwich was the American cheese. My husband got the NY strip with crab cakes. He LOVES steak. Like, it takes a lot to ruin meat for him, but he struggled to finish it. He said it had so much pepper on it that he had to choke it down. His crab cakes were horrible as well, he said Rocky Gap had better ones and theirs come in frozen and aren't even made with real crab meat. $33 for that single meal so all he could do was eat it anyway. I gave my mom my leftovers, my Nan gave it to her dog. $103 dollars on disappointment. I don't know if it's just because they're still working out the kinks on a fairly new space but we won't be returning. Our server, Shay, was lovely though. We appreciated her service...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible! Called for a pick up order, was placed on hold for 10 mintues. No one got back to us. We hung up and called back. Placed our order 12 wing total 6 dads and 6 kitchen sink . A side of celery with ranch and a side of kitchen sink sauce. Walked over to get the order. Stood at the counter and was ignored by Terri. She didn’t even acknowledge I was present. Paid for the order. Walked straight back to the motel room beside Lashbaughs. Ended up getting 12, dads and 6 kitchen sink wings. Wings were ice cold, sad and pathetic. I asked for a refund on the six wings. And my food to be remade. Terri said she could only give a gift card. I said no I want my money back for the food I didn’t want. So she decided to refund my entire order. Then got off the phone. So full refund. No hot fresh wings. And still hungry! Thanks for ruining our dinner. I will never order from this location again. Worst...
