Wedding Day let down! I’m giving Yum Bakery one star for the cake only. The baker lady was nice and very accommodating. I placed an order for our wedding cake one month in advance and called a couple of times to make sure the cake was going to be to my liking as this was for my wedding (wedding was Saturday 11/20. ) The cake turned out beautifully I mean it was exactly what I wanted. The fresh flowers she used were exquisite and matched our decor perfectly. All my guests commented on how beautiful the cake was. The cake cutting portion of the evening I was very excited because I just knew the cake would taste as good as it looked. I requested the cake be pound cake my husbands favorite with an almond flavor instead of vanilla. I’m heartbroken because when my husband and I shared a tiny piece of the cake during the cake cutting ceremony my heart sank. The cake was overly flavored with almond extract and super ridiculous sweet. No one could eat it. When the waiter started to plate the cake and I looked around the room everyone was pushing their plates away. NOT ONE Person was able to eat the cake because it was just too sweet. The actual cake was crumbling as it was being cut and on our plates it did not hold its shape well. The cake was dry as if to say it had been cooked several days in advance and stored in cooler because the cake was dry as all get out. No one guest ate my cake. Not one. We brought virtually the entire cake home and had to throw it away. Again , my wedding was just three days ago. I was told by my guests “ cake was pretty just not good to eat. Too dry or too sweet “ was their response. I’m saddened because I really was excited for this was our FIRST time being able to have our wedding ceremony and it was ruined by this lack luster cake. Like I said the baker was very nice but that cake missed the mark. Too dry, hard and overly sweet.

Went to Yum by referral. Everyone was extremely nice and they had lots of neat treasures. We got a few cupcakes and an eclair that they had just brought out from the back. The eclair was magnificent, unfortunately I found the cupcakes dry. Sent my brother to pick up some eclairs for a dinner party we were having. When he got back I wanted to scream, the eclairs were 1/3 the size of the first one (same price) they were destroyed by the rings they were picked up with. Come to find out it was a staff of teenagers. Went to speak to someone about this and I was blown off told everyone was be too busy and or not in. I'll pay good money for delicious things but consistancey is an issue here.

There’s so many things to check out here. Very niche items. Home decor, candles, laundry scents, aprons, kids toys etc. but what I went there for were the bakery items and they did not disappoint!! Sooo many options it’s fun to choose. I got the pecan pie bar, red velvet brownie and lemon blueberry whoopie and i cannot even tell you which I liked best. So so tasty and delicious. I’m trying to watch my calorie intake so I don’t know why I did this to myself but my goodness DELICIOUS.

I walked In a couple of weeks ago with my sons! We were so excited to go since we had never been. First and last time!!! The girl at the counter was not friendly at all. There was an older lady seemed she was the baker not friendly at all.. my sons love those kinds of stores so they were looking around mind you they are older not little. So they were not touching anything. But maybe the color of their skin scared off this store! I shrugged it off called the boys to come see what they wanted. To ask a question seemed like a bother! I ordered and paid and she literally handed everything separately!!! I said can I have a bag please she said it’s not going to fit! I said I kind of need a bag as I’m driving and don’t want it all over the place. Surprise surprise it all fit!!! We were still nice to her and she was just not nice made the ambiance feel awkward.. I said thank you have a good day and she didn’t even respond! We were so excited to go in as we heard such good things and then this happens. I will never go back In there, made us feel really uncomfortable. I don’t care if I’m spending a dollar or $50 don’t treat people like that.. you don’t know what kind of money we would have dropped in that store at a later time and because of that we will never spend a dime in there.. and yes I spent quite a...

Stopped by less than an hour ago for the second time now: I just couldn’t resist walking out there today. This place is literally a dream come true. Friendly staff. A variety of flavorful baked goods (more cupcake flavors than you have fingers, cookie dough shots, ice pops, pies, breads, cookies, and French macaroons which are my personal favorite) Tried a sample of the strawberry and cream dip today.. it’s amazing. It’s sweet but not too sweet, with the perfect amount of cream. Everything there tastes fresh too. You can tell they make the stuff there.

To top it off they have a beautiful assortment of vintage candies, candles, and bath bombs, some cute jewelry that looks handmade as well as lots of beachy decorations. So yeah. If you’re looking for a cute friendly shop, a gift for someone, and or something sweet here you go. I plan to stop by regularly.. the cherry blossom candles and decorative bath bombs were awfully tempting.. might have to splurge on occasion.

I discovered this place while looking for potential jobs and I’m glad I checked it out. I submitted an application about a week ago. If you’re the owner and you’re reading this, I truly hope you’ll give me a chance at an interview. It’s such a beautiful little shop and I’m glad I discovered something like this so...
