El Vallarta Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Fulton

Happened upon this place on a long drive to Arkansas. Greeted promptly and was asked to fill out info for contact tracing. Hand sanitizing stations available at the entrance to clean up. Placed our orders and headed to the restrooms which were clean and well maintained. The chips and salsa were very good. Had to ask for extra salsa. Both my wife and I got the Carne Asada plates which comes with rice and beans and grilled onions and a small side of Guac salad. The meat was very good and the grilled onions was a nice topping on it. The refried beans were among the best I have had. Service was top notch. Food was great, however while we were sitting and waiting for our food we had the displeasure of watching the hostess and waiter clear four tables that were put together for a group that was departing as we arrived. Now this is nothing unusual except when they pulled a trash can over and took napkins that had been left on the table, used and unused and began wiping the spillage into the trashcan. The hostess even took a used straw, laying flat on the table scraping food into the trash can. Once this was accomplished they push the chairs under table and departed. Neither one came back to wipe down or disinfect the tables. Oh yes did I mention that there was enough food and napkins left on the floor and in some of the chairs to feed another group. I want to say that I am so grateful to have El Vallarta in our town!! My daughter and her friends went to another local restaurant where they had reservations for prom last night and were ignored and treated poorly. She called me asking what to do, and I told her to leave and go somewhere else. They chose to come to El Vallarta, and I am so glad they did! We are already regulars here and absolutely love it. But after last night, I will be coming back even more! The staff treated the kids like they were so special, they absolutely loved their food, and they were served in a prompt time.
