Breakfast was good. I ordered a western omlette with cheddar and also some pancakes. Both were really good. I feel the home fries were well cooked and crispy as they were supposed to be but didn't have any real flavor. But picture wise it looked great. I also got to try the chicken fried steak that my fiance ordered. That was really good too. Both the steak and the way it was breaded and its level of cook time was perfect and the gravy was also in a league of its own compared to other places I have eaten. That gravy could be wonderful on other foods such as those home fries that just needed something more or even mashed potatoes. Overall the food was really good. Unfortunately, that is not all you experience when you eat there. It was a little loud without any background music so all you heard was all conversations melting together into a giant cacophony of voices.Tables were really close together which made my last experience the reason why I won't be dining in again. There was a family with a extremely misbehaved kid. Yelling and screaming and shrieking which made even basic conversation impossible for me to have and made it unenjoyable almost the entire time. Only after the kid was taken outside in the car and spanked did the behavior stop. By then it didn't matter and any enjoyment or experience aside from tasting the food...
Read moreMy sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and I decided to dine-in Friday evening before we worked our second job together. The service was acceptable, and the atmosphere was decent. My biggest critique would be that it felt imposing to squeeze through the occupied tables in order to be seated at the booth. The food was good, and the waitress's knowledge of the menu was very good. When the table ordered water(everyone) the waitress brought out an additional corked liter water jug of fresh, cold water which I feel is a classy and convenient touch. It definitely feels more like having dinner at a nice families' home than eating at a restaurant in many ways. Parking can be a little crammed, and interior space, the same, so my only recommendation would be to get more space, but not to relocate because the location itself is great. I don't know if it's possible to extend the parking lot, but if it is possible, it would help a great deal. Overall, it's a great place for a sit down meal, and I will go back. In order to earn my coveted five star rating, a place has to be exceptional, not just good. However, it is...
Read moreFood was pretty good and the service outstanding considering they had a packed house for breakfast...updated 9/4/22 stopped in for lunch today had the philly cheesesteak which was decent but the problem was the flies in the restaurant and lack of concern from the waitress... Had to stop eating my food because I was spending more time chasing the flies away then eating my food...Asked for a container to take my food with me but that took over 20 minutes to get and before I could box my food up multiple flies had landed on my food!!! She asked why i no longer wanted to take my food with me so i explained it that's when she said the food was fine and she would eat it if it had been her food!!! Really? Makes me wonder just how many flies are in the kitchen and food preparation area? I will be talking to the health department about this restaurant... I'm a retired chef with over 28 years in the kitchen and this is...
