This past weekend was my second visit. I never left a review after my first time here just in case that experience was a fluke given all the good reviews this place has/had, however after this past weekend and a pretty much identical experience… I’ve made up my mind. While this place is nice/neat and offers quite a bit in the way of entertainment, the food is terrible. Most recently I got the Pretzel appetizer which was $12 for some outside vendors frozen/premade sticks. The cheese sauce was decent but the mustard was ungodly sweet. Salads are an expensive mix of greens that I would say are 95% iceberg. For an entree I chose the meat platter and got pulled pork and wings. The pulled pork was very oily and that’s literally all you could taste, nothing more. Tried putting their white sauce on it in an attempt to give it some flavor and it just made it worse. It tasted like a rancid concoction of vinegar and oil. My Buffalo garlic wings came out barely warm and were slimy almost like they were undercooked. All in all, for a place that prides itself on bbq… it leaves so much to be desired. Combine that with the fact our bill was almost $100… extremely disappointing. There’s way better bbq places within an hour drive which is about how far it is for us to get here. If you’re in the area and want a place to stop for a drink and to hangout, cool… the service is pretty good. However, if you’re looking for a good place to eat (particularly with good bbq)… go anywhere else. Perhaps if they were to put half as much money/effort into the food as they do the “look” of this place, it might be worth the drive… until then, we...

We visited Yesterday for Dinner. The atmosphere was great, our server was great and our food was delicious. Very reasonably priced for drinks, appetizers and two entrees.

I do have to tell you the young woman that was running food around 4pm had a foul attitude and needs to be taught service recovery 101.

We ordered appetizers, which never came out. She brings out our entrees and I told her that we still didn’t get our appetizers. She lets out a HUFF and goes “they’re sitting back there.”

#1. Why did you have to let us know that? Why couldn’t you say that you’d go check?

So then she brings out our appetizers and slaps them down, doesn’t say a word. I do understand the restaurant was very busy and you’re all just trying your very best, but do you have to make a paying customer feel like an inconvenience for wanting to eat their appetizers?!

Not even 5 minutes later she brings out our entrees. Again, doesn’t say anything, and sets them down.

#2. If you knew our appetizers never came out, could you ATLEAST was for the visable ques that we were at least almost finished?

We were rushed through the meal and just really put off by the ignorance.

And trust me, I get it. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 15 years, especially through Covid. But there was absolutely a way to approach this without ever letting the customer know there was a mix up, Instead of making the customer feel like the inconvenience.

We look forward to coming back for an even...

We've been looking forward to eating here because of the reviews. When we arrived there was only 2 tables and probably 10 people at the bar area. We were waited on in a reasonable amount of time. When I asked questions about items the waitress just looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. You need to be able to tell your customers about the food on the menu. We got our food in about 15 minutes which is bad considering we ordered the 25.00 meal that consist of 2 meats, 2 sides each. Our food was cold. The BBQ ham was dry and tough. The brisket was dry, unseasoned, and cold. Everything was cold and cooked horribly. Almost like it was 2 day leftovers and were too lazy to even warm the food up. After we receive our meals we never saw the waitress again. Not for refills on drinks which we needed. Not to ask how everything was. We decided to not eat the majority of the food and waited 20-30 minutes before the waitress came back with the bill and asked if I wanted boxes. You'd think before you brought the check you'd see if everything was okay. The ten people at the bar drinking were more important than people who ordered the horrible food. The prices are outrageous for what little they give you. I truly wish the old owners were still there. You'd be guaranteed good food, service, atmosphere. All those good reviews are possibly friends and family of these owners and themselves writing the majority of them. My total bill for 2...

This place was just amazing. Atmosphere was great and service even better. The food was amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection. The NY steak is wood fire grilled with an amazing char without compromising the medium rare cooking specs. Great selection of beers and it came with a frosted glass 😮‍💨 I will definitely find my way back and get the rib eye next time. The brisket baked beans we outstanding. The waitress recommend the tater tots over the fries and oh boy did she know her stuff. She even brought me her favorite dips to the tots! Absolutely pleased with my experience here! Highly recommend!

I’m a returning customer and I love this place. Nestled back on a not so busy road in the woods it can be easy to pass by. Food is amazing. Generous portions, great smoked bbq. I’ve never been disappointed. So worth the drive and wait. There’s seating outside, inside and at the bar. On busy nights like weekends and holidays I recommend placing a reservation because it seems everyone agree’s that this is the place to eat at! Live music on select nights as well. Fast friendly service.

This place had the best pork & brisket sandwich on the planet! And my goodness did they have the best tater tots i have ever had. My husband happened to stop in on our way to cherry springs and this place did not disappoint! The benches were very nice outside on the patio and even had a rest in the middle for my 5'3 self. Atmosphere was so nice with nice and clean restrooms. I definitely would recommend stopping in here to anyone looking for genuinely good food.
