T W Howell's — Restaurant in Galloway Township

Very homey and comfortable. We chose to eat outside which was pretty, but a little chilly and breezy. Again, our choice because inside was a bit too crowded for covid comfort, but it caused our food to get cold quickly.

The home fries were delicious. Crispy and perfect. French toast and pancake average. Nothing exceptional, but good. Omelet a little overcooked but great portion and price. Over medium eggs were not over medium. More like over light. They made me new ones, which was beyond what I expected (I figured microwave), but those were undercooked, too. Better than the first ones but still a lot of white goo.

So we'd give the food a 3 out of 5. The service was 5 plus! The young guy who greeted us, seated us, cleaned our table and refilled our coffee was friendly, sweet and efficient. Our waitress was super nice as well, and very attentive.

We'll definitely go back and try again. Hopefully we'll be able to sit inside and our food will stay hot. This was our first breakfast out in over a year, so we were happy to have some normalcy back and this was a comfy...

I've been here a few times and had good food and good service, but my last visit will be the last. My group asked for coffee and some time to drink a cup. Apparently this waitress was in a hurry because when I said I needed a minute to order, she decided to stand there and say how I better hurry up and start taking orders. I said then I won't have anything, but I didn't want the rest of my party to leave hungry too, so I ordered some sandwich. Never in my life have I had a waitress demand I had to order when she said I was ready. No, it wasn't busy, but a table of her friends was nearby and she spent her time talking with them. I guess she was feeling spiteful, because we didn't get offered a single coffee refill, I had to ask the other waitress, and then we had to stop her for the bill long after we were finished, then we waited close to 20 minutes before giving up and taking the payment up ourselves. I guess I'm not "regular" enough to get respectful service, so we won't be back. New customers should be aware how they...

Everything is great until you get to the staff service and overall vibe. Food is good and comes quickly. But the staff themselves seemed unwelcoming from the time I got to the restaurant. Once we finished eating and got the bill, we were waiting for 15 mins just to pay as the waitress passed us several times seating and placing orders for other customers. The restaurant is very small so there aren’t many customers which if it was I would’ve understood for the wait. If we were supposed to go up to someone to pay instead of waiting at our table it would have been nice to be told that but we were just being ignored. The waitress finally came to us AFTER another waiter asked us if we needed anything. She didn’t even apologize for making us wait at the table just sitting there awkwardly.
