My husband ordered tacos, enchilada, refried beans & rice. Sadly the taco shells were store bought pre-shaped processed hard shells. But yet they served a tortilla on the side that was homemade that they quoted they make fresh daily, which was very good other than being served cold. Is enchilada was okay but they took the tortilla and tucked the ends in so it was a very small enchilada. I had a patty melt with green chili sauce and it was very very good. The french fries were weren't all that great either, they were not cooked long enough they weren't even brown. The restaurant was very clean, the service was very good. Server asked us if we wanted salsa and chips, we said yes assuming that they were complimentary but they weren't, they charged us for those.

Home cooking at its New Mexican Finest. Really nice staff, homey diner feel, and a pretty extensive New Mexican menu, with mix and match combos. The flour tortillas were made there, and they were fresh, fluffy, thick and pillowy soft, and really excellent with the Mexican-style broth and tomato based beef stew with big chunks of beef, potatoes, carrots, and lots of aromatics. My husband really enjoyed the beef fajitas and the plate has a delicious assortment of condiments to go with the fluffy tortillas and juicy beef. I *loved* the stew, it was super satisfying after a cold, dry long day hiking, and it really hit the spot, perfectly seasoned, and the broth was so soothing.

My sister and I decided to treat our mom out for Valentine’s Day and from the very beginning their service was HORRIBLE, we were yelled at, mistreated and had my moms food SWAPPED out (not even freshly re-made). My mom ordered the steak (well done) with a baked potato and was brought fries, when everyone else was brought a baked potato with their steaks. When the food got to the table the steak was medium rare and the lady from one table in front of us ordered medium rare but was given well done, she told the server and all he said was “I think I got yours mixed up with hers” and pointed to my mom. He then took both plates and said “it’ll be about 20 minuets for new steaks” and LESS THAN ONE MINUTE LATER HE CAME BACK WITH THE PLATES. He didn’t deny the fact that I said he “swapped the plates out”, he (Jeremy L) the server then rolled his eyes and smirked sarcastically when I ordered sopaipillas and every time he had to refill our drinks. When he gave us the ticket, my sister and I went to pay and told the lady up front that we shouldn’t have to pay for the steak when the lady in the booth ahead of us CUT INTO THE MEAT and KNOWING he swapped out the plates. The owner then came over and started arguing with us and sided with the rude waiter. We told them that from the very beginning the sign should have said “please wait to be seated” considering the tables weren’t clean, the server then pointed to the sign and said “look” as he flipped it around to “please wait to be seated” and as I went to turn it he hit my hand with the sign. He then said to the owner “they wanted drive through service”, when we DIDN’T have a problem with the wait time, he already took my money and wasn’t planning on refunding us. Please, take your service else where. The portions for 2 cheese enchiladas, a very small side of rice and beans wasn’t worth it when I had more lettuce and tomatoes then I did my main meal. That and the restrooms aren’t fully closed off so you can smell when someone did their business, over all we were HIGHLY UNSATIFIED with our experience and we will NOT...

Swung by here crossing the US from San Diego to NC. So glad I did.

I went during an off time so the place was pretty empty. Usually this is not a good time to order food because wait and kitchen staff are rotating through breaks after the lunch and before dinner rush.

Virgie's didn't stop though. I wanted to try a bit of everything and ended up almost busting my gut trying to finish this plate.

While some Mexican places serve up generic one flavor combos like this, Virgie's made sure each of my entree selections had its own full unique flavor.

The Relleno was crispy on the outside, not soggy, and full roasted pepper flavor without too much heat.

The enchilada was melty cheesy, the tortilla being perfect doneness.

The taco, while usually meh in a place like this was brimming with sharp fresh cheddar (a huge plus if you're used to the pre-shredded flavorless stuff) and seasoned ground beef. Cold diced tomato, fresh lettuce...a real solid taco.

The burrito was just as good as the others in its own unique way, I just can't type much more on the subject haha.

All in all, I'd come by here again in a heartbeat if my path gets near it...

Our experience here was not good. The food was super salty, more like biscuits than tortillas! We did not have a menu, as we ordered from a hotel for pick up. The prices were very high. They got my order wrong. I stated that I was vegetarian and asked for a recommendation. I got beef tostadas! When I called to complain and request a refund for that portion of my bill ($12) I was told no. Then I was told I never said I was vegetarian. Then told they would fix it, but I would have to pick it up (after a 12 hour day of driving I was in for the night!). I got furious with them and finally they refunded me... although I haven't proof yet.... It was also weird inside. They tried to charge me twice. There was an odd guy with the darkest sunglasses I've ever seen (inside, and at night). The gal who answered the phone could not take my order and kept asking someone else what the food was. I spoke to 4 different people when I called to complain. Very weird...
