Sad to be making this because I was SOO excited for this place to open. I have been here a few times since opening for the Cesar salad specifically. It's SOO good!! Unfortunately the last 2 times I ordered it wasn't a good experience. They forgot the dressing both times, only this last time I made sure to check. The first time they forgot it I made it all the way out West to my house before I noticed. I figured that happens whatever. But the salad is $18 so I was very disappointed fast forward today I order it again and I checked the bag this time. No silverware, and no dressing. The first few times I ordered this didn't happen. Anyways I went back inside to tell the lady working the issue. The teenager at the counter was busy so I spoke to a older women who appeared to be a manager wearing glasses and a white blouse. I very nicely told her the issue and she scoffed at me, and didn't reply. Simply turned away from me. So I said "hey excuse me can I get the dressing for this" and she looks SO annoyed at me for spending to her, and says "ok?" Then turned around again. She never got it for me. I had to ask a cook. Then I even tried to get her attention again and say "hey so this is a pricy salad that I LOVE, but this is the 2nd time my dressing was forgotten I figured I'd just let you know so yall can prevent further issues" AGAIN she scoffs at me and looks so offended in speaking to her. She literally chuckled and said "yea okay" and walked off again. I felt so embarrassed and humiliated simply for talking to her and asking her TO DO HER JOB and for the items I PAID for?? So I'm super sad because I LOVE the food. Really hoping something can be down about the rude front of house female manger, and that they can remember the dressings considering a Cesar salad is only 3 ingredients and the dressing is the main thing. These incidents were a whole...

We ate here on our last trip to Galveston. We were aiming for a big name, popular restaurant, but it was all the way on the other side of the island from us, and we were tired. We decided to look for something closer and in a less busy area. I found Lil' Buffalo Grille on Google maps. The reviews were great, the location was close, so we decided to give it a try. Location: It looked like we were heading into a residential neighborhood, and I thought the map was leading us to the wrong place. Not the case. It is in a very nice and well-kept, quiet area. We parked along the street and headed inside. Food: It smelled amazing! The menu has a nice variety with options like burgers, catfish, and red beans & rice. I got the catfish platter with sweet potato fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. We had 7 people in our party, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. Prices: The prices were also very reasonable. We ended up spending about half of what we probably would have spent at the other big name restaurant. The restaurant was very laid-back and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. You can eat inside, or you can take your food to the area out back. Out there you'll find a lovely little area out by the water. There is a patio area with lots of tables, hula hoops, corn hole, ect. for entertainment. I will absolutely being going back the next time we're in Galveston, and have been recommending it to everyone I know who is going down for a visit. Please give this place your business so they can stay around for...

I almost hate to acknowledge how awesome a lunch break from Moody Gardens this Gem is for fear it becomes too crowded! With 5 kids from 2-18 in tow Hot Wife and I decided to find a spot close to but not at the Moody Gardens and after finding this place was so highly rated and about 10 minutes away (making it easy to go back to the Gardens to check out all the budget ticket offerings) we loaded up and headed over. Found a spot right out the front door, so I ran in to see if they could accommodate the clan. That is when I met Paula who is the sweetest Gal this side the Mississippi that clearly loves her job, so much so I thought for sure she must have been the owner! She helped us gather a couple tables while razzing me oh so perfectly! We then sat down and looked over the extensive menu. In the end our table ordered- Chicken fried chicken Chicken Club Sandwich Chicken Salad Sandwich Buffalo Burger Kids Hot dog Fish Tacos Mac n Cheese What I can tell you is that we all cleaned our plates (and for this clan that's a rarity), I personally had the Taco's and are some of the Mac n cheese, among the best food I've had eating out! Feeding 2 adults, 3 savage teens, a 5 year old and toddler along with a couple drinks for Mom and Dad, in a nice environment with awesome employees was well...

We visited Galveston during a holiday week. We stopped in a couple of times since the restaurant was nearby and we were familiar with it. Understand during a holiday and maybe some weekends, it can get busy and seating can be an issue. There's more seating outside. If you are a party of 5, you can pull up an extra seat. If you are a party of 6 or more, it can be difficult (during those busy times) to get a table. You order at the counter. Non-Alc beverages, you can prepare on your own. Silverware, napkins, condiments are already on the table. Food is brought to your table and the workers are great about getting you additional stuff if you need it. The Smoked Salmon is prepared on a large slice of bread instead of the typical bagel. If I get it next time, I'll skip the bread (the cucumbers were really good as a base.) The standard breakfast items are reliable - eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc. Another day I tried sandwich (with ham, I think). Ugh - the brie cheese was over powering. The bun was too much but I'm also not a huge bread person. Loved the taste and texture of the fries. I would not order this sandwich again personally. If looking for an elegant upscale Italian restaurant, check out Palmetto Osteria across the street and owned by the same group.

This restaurant is in a beautiful location with a charming interior. However, for the price, I found the food to be disappointing compared to other places with similar menus. I don’t usually like leaving negative reviews, but I committed to being honest in my feedback. The pancakes tasted like something you could make at home with a box mix—and even then, I think Bisquick would have been better. I paid extra to have blueberries cooked into them, but they were forgotten. The omelet was very basic, reminiscent of what I’d find in a military dining facility, yet it cost over $20 to create a simple veggie version. I also paid $1.75 for avocado, which was missing. The biscuits were hard and, again, reminded me of a military cafeteria. Even the bacon was overdone and crumbled apart. The most unpleasant part of the experience was the noticeable number of flies around the dining area. Would I come back? Maybe, but only if these issues were addressed. If you’re going to charge premium prices, the quality of the food should reflect it.
