Been ordering from this location for a while now. Decided to get delivery and paid the $5 and some change delivery fee because I did not want to go out. Imagine my surprise when my pizza arrived at the house, I get a phone call from Door Dash saying the pizza has arrived. I almost ignored the call! NO WHERE ON THE APP DID IT SAY DELIVERY BY DOORDASH! I sent the complaint to corporate and the local store manager called back shortly after - however he acted like he was barely listening; he told me they don't hire Papa John's drivers anymore and that would probably not change and when I explained if I were going to use DoorDash a) I would have ordered from a steakhouse instead of pizza and B) I get FREE food delivery service through my Amazon account - I would have used that but I don't like third party food delivery because I've had bad experiences through DoorDash and Uber Eats. He asked me if the food was good - it was fine but that was not the point. When I asked if he understood that it defeated the purpose he replied "in theory" and I hung up and called corporate. He could have apologized and added Papa cash to my account for the delivery charge and ended the conversation but he dragged it on by being non-responsive and when he finally was I got "In theory". Read moreTeam members in the restaurant and delivery are super! Pizza, breadsticks and wings are good and consistent. The bad part is when phoning in the order. It’s very apparent that the “order takers” are not in the store and that they are at a call center somewhere other than the area. One gentleman (that’s my southern politeness-bless his heart...) tries to get through the process so fast that he doesn’t hear what you are saying, so when you go to correct him (address in specific) he interrupts by going to the next “section” of the questions process. After the third correction and my trying to get him to stop talking so that I could make the correction again, he hangs up on me! BTW, this is the third call in order we have made and 2 of 3 ended in him hanging up. Finally getting a different person, I made reference to the fact I am from the south so could he please slow down his speech as I could not understand what he was saying. Of course he didn’t. Read moreWe were staying at the Super 8 wyndam in myrtle beach SC. Ordered a pizza online to be delivered. Tracked my order on line. Payment went through on my bank card. Then i got a call that they had made my pizza but couldnt deliver it. The guy on the phone said i ordered from the wrong location. He could cancel my order but then said since i used a bank card he couldnt cancel it. And if i did want a pizza delivered i would have to order a new one, pay for it and get delivered. It was up to me to deal with the bank on payment!!! After all the BS i said that i would pick it up myself. I drove 10 mins to their location to have to be buzzed in by the counter person! As i was leaving i noticed that there was a scooter sitting outside. They couldn't deliver because the delivery driver didnt have a vehicle, he only drove a scooter!!!
