I have tried the steakhouse combo I believe is what it's called. It comes with A1 sauce, provolone cheese, fried onion pieces and mushrooms. I always upgrade and get the cheese curds, they are amazing. The fries they have you can choose 3 different seasonings for them. Also the shakes are amazing because they are custard shakes which I prefer. They have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and banana. They have premium shakes also like banana pudding, strawberry shortcake, cookie and cream and m & m. I just get the strawberry or the banana and they are so delicious. It is more expensive but I love the combo that I get. My boyfriend has tried the burgers they have also and he likes them. I did try the grilled chicken sandwich and it was so NASTY. I didn't even eat it. I took 1 bite and spit it out. It was so hard like it sat under a heat lamp for hours. I don't prefer the grilled chicken at all. They are famous for the chicken strips but I have not tried them but have heard they are good. The drive thru takes so long. I always sit there for 15 minutes or longer through the drive thru. On the flip side the food I get have been fresh except for the grilled chicken. With it being more expensive I was not happy about the grilled chicken but I thought maybe it was just me, I doubt it but maybe. I couldn't barely even bite the chicken I had to bite and tear kind of to even get a bite. But like I said the steak sliders and the burgers are highly recommended in my opinion. Oh and also the cheese curds they come with ranch and the banana custard shake. You won't be disappointed. Dang I guess savvy sliders tonight. They also send out menus that you can turn in for 10% off any order under $50.00. they also cater which is really cool. You can sign up online and get sent deals also if interested. So yeah most of what I tried are scrumptious but the grilled chicken went right in...
Read moreUpdated review: I hate to have to change my review, but I just had a horrible experience here. I came here for lunch and ordered the 2 for 5 deal. I got one burger and one chicken sandwich. The burger was fine, but the chicken patty was cold and hard. After I took my first bite I tore it apart a bit and could see the chicken had that look like it had been sitting for a while and gotten hard. At this point Im at home, but I go all the way back to get a fresh sandwich. The cashier was very friendly and accommodating, but the owner was not. He seemed irritated that I dared bring a piece of my cold, hard chicken back up there. So I asked them to just make a burger to replace it. After a few minutes he walks back out and hands me a bag with a new slider in it. No problem.
At this point, it's hot, and I had to make an extra trip to come back and get my food right. I asked if I could have one simple fountain drink for my trouble.... He refused. Then he berated me for only bringing what he called "a sliver of chicken back to the store and complaining about it." Excuse me???
Well, sir, Im sorry that I didn't bring enough COLD, HARD chicken back to the store for you to feel it was worth your time. The implication was that I was somehow trying to scam him out of food. It's a single slider, bro... GTHOH!
So long story short, since you refused to make this right and provide me with maybe 20 cents worth of a fountain pop for my troubles, you will now lose far more than that from my business. I was a regular customer and usually ate there at night when the much nicer lady is running the place.
Horrible business practice if you ask me, but suit yourself.
Original review: I've been to other Savvy Sliders in the area and this one is the best. Food always comes out...
Read moreReally good for a fast food place. The fish sliders were awesome, especially with the spicy "Boom" sauce they put on them. Fries were also good and someone I ate with said the chicken tenders were very good too. No complaints about the food.
They're more filling than you'd think, too. These aren't White Castle sliders. Two fish sliders and a side of fries (plus a custard shake) was very filling for me.
My banana pudding custard shake was pretty good, but that alone cost almost $7 after tax. At least it would have if I hadn't gotten it for free with the Tasty Tuesday special I heard about on the news.
The employee who took my order seemed pretty new so it took a little while to place my order and receive the food (10-15 minutes), but that's understandable. They were polite enough. But they stapled each meal shut in individual bags, so I had to rip them all open to double check my order before I left (glad I did because they forgot a sauce I paid for). And we only got one sauce cup with the 5 piece chicken tenders, but if you order online you can get two. I wasn't asked and I didn't realize until I got home.
Bottom line - good food, can be a bit pricey just like almost everywhere these days, and double check your order before you leave (like you should do...
