This hidden gem is nestled on the Crown Golf Course. If your in a hurry on a Friday evening during their exceptional Fish Fry, then this is not the place for you, but it's well worth the wait. One shouldn't be in a hurry when having dinner with family or friends. We were served by the bartender Andrea who also was exceptional! Although she was obviously busy, she took the time to make us feel welcome and explained the menu. We both ordered the Perch dinner and enjoyed our cocktails while we waited. My martini was made correctly and one of the best I ever had. She didn't cut corners for anyone. The food was brought out as soon as it was ready and was piping hot! And it remained hot while we devoured it. A very generous portion of Perch fillets that were lightly breaded served with a lemon wedge, tarter sauce, fancy cottage fries and a side of coleslaw. Andrea took the time to come over to our table and check on us. Observing the rest of the staff, everyone hustled. The young man Alex clearing the tables was on top of his game. Even the Manager was working hard which says something about the place. A good leader doesn't tell his staff to do anything he wouldn't do. There was great teamwork all the way around. The views from the windows were fabulous. I highly recommend...
Read moreThis place is honestly wonderful. I’ve been coming here for about 3 years and have been enjoying how the menu and environment have evolved. However, the Mulligans burger feels like a grand outlier on an otherwise homey menu. Everything else is a simplistic yet well flavored dish, but the Mulligans burger not only dishonors the name of the restaurant, it feels like an absolute whirlwind of flavors and too many ingredients to be able to appreciate the actual food. The burger itself is crazy if you actually taste it. The existence of two burgers just adds to my confusion. Two burgers, teriyaki sauce (which takes over the whole flavor profile), ham (way too much of it, more ham than burger), provolone, and the worst offender is the pineapple which is unable to be tasted in the mountain of ingredients to where the existence of it as a sweet side to the sour teriyaki makes no sense. It feels like a failed take on a hawaiian them. It should have never made it onto the menu with everything else. I love the fries and everything else, so in the end the place is still great. The mulligans burger is just a massive...
Read moreWent on a trip to the UP and on our way back we stopped at Mulligan's. We were looking for dog-friendly places to eat and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip (delicious), each got the cob salad (delicious as well), ordered the Ruben egg rolls to-go (fantastic, just wish we had ordered 2) and last but not least we ordered a hotdog for the fur baby (she thought that was delicious). The server was very friendly and sweet. She brought out a bowl of water for my pup and put ice in it so it stayed cooler longer. We sat looking out onto the golf course that was just beautiful. The course is very well taken care of. I'm not a golfer but my friend thought it was beautiful as well. If you are looking for a nice spot that is dog friendly or even up for a round of golf, stop here, especially if you have a fur baby. Food is worth it and the service was wonderful. Oh forgot the cocktails. Mojitos were ordered and delicious as well for a...
