Al Yamama Grill — Restaurant in Garfield

I've been ordering for years now from this place.....and the food has always been great.... It's my favorite kebab platter in Bergen Co, and the price is good- especially compared to ordering from Paterson.....

However the restaurant has some real issues with hours and delivery apps...... I get why the place may be closed or open during this or that hour- but it can be clarified much better... More than a couple times I have placed orders and will hear back - when my food should be being picked up - that they are not actually open- after confirming orders... If they are still accepting walk in orders, even worse.

If I order 2 hours before the posted closing time this shouldn't happen so much... I would NOT mind being called and asked if I can wait until they re-open an hour later, even better would be an accurate listing of what hours they will be closed...don't say you're open till 7 if you plan to close at 5.

Best middle eastern food I’ve had in a while! My family and I came here to eat after a day of shopping for Mother’s Day. We live in NYC so we thought we were going to get average middle eastern fare. We ordered the chicken kebab, beef kebab, ribeye steak, and kibbeh with two teas.

The rice was a different, more authentic grain than we were used to in NYC. Most of the places there have a brown, long grain basmati type rice but here it was a softer, wide grain. So good. We were raised in Saudi Arabia so it definitely brought us back home. The kibbeh was fried perfectly! The ribeye was soft, medium rare, and with alll of the meat dishes you can really taste the smoked flavor from the grill. Food wasn’t spicy, but hot and white sauce was also given. You can tell this was a family restaurant and he had paid particular attention to us even tho he himself, was probably fasting. I am definitely coming back, I found a new favorite...

I recently tried Yamama Grill for the first time and ended up getting their chicken kebab three times in that same week. The chicken was grilled to perfection and juicy. They delivered within 20 minutes of me ordering and to top it off the chicken kebab entree is only $11 but you get a huge portion of food. It comes with rice, salad, and three pieces of their delicious pita bread. You can split with a friend or if your greedy like me eat it for both lunch and dinner haha. Their white sauce (comparable to taziki sauce) is delicious and their garlic sauce is even better. Also their customer service is on another level. I asked for garlic sauce and they were out of it =\ but the chef said no worries and whipped up a fresh batch just for me right on the spot. I highly recommend this place for delicious food and great...
