State Street Cafe — Restaurant in Garfield

Went there for the first time today. There must of been one cook because we waited over 45 minutes for 2 grilled sandwiches. No apologies from the waitress. When I got my food I got regular fries but I had ordered sweet potato fries so the waitress took my basket and I waited and it didn't take long to get my sweet potato fries but they were cooked so fast that they weren't cooked throughly. Then having to pay 99 cents extra for fries that are not cooked completely. Then my husband got turkey on his sandwich when he got it but it was supposed to be ham. Won't be going back. Wasted way too much time waiting then having our food being incorrect. Super...

I passed through town with my family on a Saturday morning and they had good service and good food. I ordered the smothered skillet and the portion was great for the price. I noticed that they had a younger kid helping out in the kitchen and I believe his sister or maybe his mother was our waitress. I tipped well because they seemed very friendly and there was a nice family vibe going on; I appreciated the small town vibe of the place. I came in and had a wonderful meal with the family. I myself ordered an omelet that was cooked to perfection with crispy hashbrowns on the side and requested that they send my regaurds to the cook because it was the best omelet ive had in years. I figured i should come on here as well and give praise to the cook, Jeremy, who had cooked not just my meal perfectly but my whole family was also very satisfied. Definitely going to recommend this place to any friends or family...
