Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Garland

Wait time was very long. I had initially parked and pushed the red button, but ended up pulling up to the drive thru since the wait was so long (10 mins) and it seemed like staff were mainly helping out people in drive thru. One staff member was about to take my order through the red button, but then asked if I was in the drive thru and did not take my order and insisted I wait for some other staff member to do so. I went around 4:30pm and it did not seem too busy and every time I saw someone come out it was a different person so they seemed to have enough staff. I just don't get why I couldn't be helped in the parking/red button area. When I did get to the drive thru however the person taking orders there was not a really good listener and kept getting my order wrong even when I kept repeating myself. Most of my order ended up being correct except for one of my drinks. When I pulled up to get my order at the window I waited at least 7 mins to even pay and another 15 to even receive my order. There were at least 5 other cars behind me that also came into the drive thru because they were not receiving any service at the parking. I'm not usually an inpatient person, but really there should be no excuse for the wait time since it is considered fast food. I didn't even have a very large and complicated order as well. I only ordered a foot long chili cheese with tots with drink, large mozzarella sticks, grape cream slush (which they got wrong even after I repeated/corrected this at least 4 times), and honey BBQ popcorn chicken with onion rings and drink. This place is terrible. I moved to the area and have been to this location 4 times now. The first time I waited at least 20 + minutes. 2nd time was even longer. The 3rd time I tried the drive thru thinking this will be faster lol. No if it weren't for the people pulling out of line because they were tired of waiting I would have been there all night, mind you not one of these times were during what I would consider a busy time. 2pm on a Tuesday and I'm waiting 20 + minutes on a hotdog lol. Now, I live so close and I love sonic so after a few weeks of saying f that place, I tell myself ok, let's give this place one more chance...burned again haha. I pull up at 10pm and there's 6 cars there with people having food delivered to them. I wait in the line 5 minutes to pull up and have them tell me there system is down and I can't order any food. Damnnnnn... there goes my boneless chicken wings. Ohh how i craved for the taste of those sweet sweet asian flavored wings. I swear this place has messed with my emotions more than my ex wife. Hurt my heart more than when my precious dog "tootsie" passed away in my arms at age 11. I used the app to order 19.00 (pay before getting food) worth of food and drinks, part of my order was half price, so there was a lot of food. When I placed my order it gave an option for a pick up time, so I figured 15 minutes would be long enough. I was wrong. When I got to there, I let the app know which stall I was in and nothing... I pushed the red button and they said they would send a car hop, I waited 10 more minutes for someone and no one came, I pushed the button again and the voice said, I'm on the way. He finally came,asked my name and said it was being prepared. 15 mins pass and he brings half of my order, I told him what was missing he said he would be right back. I waited another 10 mins and pushed the red button again. I want to add that between my wait, I noticed they had pizza delivered lol. It took right at an hour to get a order that should have been ready at my arrival. I'm not mad, the food was still good even though everything except the last part of my order was cold. Times are tough, those young people were working hard. It was just way too busy for the amount of workers they have. I know they were all frazzled, it wasn't the workers fault they are under staffed.
