New China Star — Restaurant in Garner

First time there I walked in and seen the sanitation score which was 100 and I can tell you now they Musta bought that off of Amazon because the store doesn’t deserve 100 not even a 50 after I ordered from the young lady at the front it was a large order in fact it was $80 for everything there was lo mein, shrimp and lobster sauce. General sows sweet-and-sour chicken. I did notice in the back that there was no glove wearing and it looked like maybe a mother and daughter and son team because she was pointing to the sun and showing him what to put in each item and I believe unfortunately I was his first customer because he certainly should not be a cook. Maybe a leaf rake or or a hole digger but not a chef or a cook whatever you prefer in a Chinese restaurant, as I sat waiting for my order, I noticed how much dirt there was on the floor and the tables and the dust webs that hang in the lights place was pretty disgusting but I said maybe the food will be good. Let me Telya we got home now there’s three of us, and we all tried to eat food. It was tasteless. Some of the stuff tasted like soap, the shrimp where white and ice cold everything else tasted like nothing. Very disappointing, I will never darken there doorstep again . And two out of three of us got terribly sick. Before you eat there DON’T .we love Chinese food but not from there. Happy trails everyone stay safe and find a good meal...

Ordered General Tso...the sauce looked like sweet & sour and no peppers or any spice it was just sweet...$31 wasted on the WORST Chinese food...also ordered shrimp fried rice and can't even eat it, not to mention the shrimp were ice cold!!!...it's also soo bland. I'm extremely disappointed...hopefully a manager will reach out to me because this is unacceptable. UPDATE: Called and asked if I could bring the food back when I got there the guys were pretty much starring at me 1 of the guys opened it and said "oh you at half of it" which was NOT true whatsoever I did taste the food and so did my husband. The rice was barely touched I ordered 2 orders of general Tso and 1 of them we didn't even open. It really pissed me off that they said that...so I forced a for a refund. I have worked in management my entire life and the way the situation was handled was just awful. I received a free 2 liter that we did open so I didn't bring it back and 1 of the guys very rudely said "where's the 2 liter" I told them it was at home and just charge me if you feel necessary which they did which was completely fine but at the same time also complete BS considering I had to drive all the way there because of their lack of cooking. I should have trusted...

The food is great, always hot and very tasty. However, I have never in my life met someone in the food industry just quite as rude as the young lady at the window. I purchased a takeout order up there today. It's about a 25 minute drive for us so it's not that close. When I got home I realized that they had not provided me with one item that I had ordered. I called them and the young lady said for me to come and get it. Then she hung up on me. When I arrived, she handed me what she had forgotten to give me. At that point she turned around and was walking away. I got her attention and told her that in situations like this, which create quite an inconvenience for their customers, that she should say that they were sorry. She looked at me like I had three eyes. Finally, she said I am so sorry, rolled her eyes and turned around and walked off. If this was not the best Chinese food in the area, today would have been the last day I ever went there. However, we will continue to patronize the establishment. And I will also try to remind her to say please, thank you, and I'm sorry, if necessary. Please do not let this girl's attitude not make you go to...
