9.23.2023: We finally made it back to Coterie Pizza and loved that every bit as much as the first time that we visited. We try to couple of different pizzas. We ordered the pepperoni sausage, spinach artichoke, mushroom medley, and hot honey pizzas. One of us also ordered a salad and thought it was very good! I still highly recommend this place no matter where you are in Fort Wayne or the surrounding areas. We visited Coterie Pizza in Garrett this weekend and I have to say that that was really impressed. Here's the TLDR as this review might get little long. Here are the two things you need to know. 1. The pizza is outstanding. 2. Self-serve beer wall. If you want to stop reading at this point and just go visit I don't blame you. We decided to get four pizzas so we could taste as many as we could. We got the Cajun, Brisket, Mushroom Medley and Chicken Bruschetta. All four of them were very good and each of them were very flavorful in their own ways. The one thing that we found all of that pizza had in common was the amazing crust. The crust was perfectly cooked, it was the perfect blend of chewiness and crispness. The pizza was even very good cold as leftovers. It was very chewy cold BUT the thinness and airiness makes it easy to eat. If you're still reading you won't be disappointed. The other really amazing thing about this place was that they had a serve-yourself-pay-by-the-ounce beer/wine/cider wall. I personally have never seen anything like it. There are ten taps total. With 5 touch screen controls in which you select the beverage that you want. The screen shows you how much per ounce do you will be paying and then you scan and electronic wristband and start pouring! Screen shows you how many ounces you've poured and then you enjoy! At the end of the day you have them scan your wristband and they add the cost of what you consumed to your bill. It was a very unique experience and that combined with the amazing Pizza has me pining to go back as soon as possible. One thing I found out that they could improve upon is that I'm not sure that there's any way to know what beverages they have on tap before you get there. I do not believe they are on the Untappd website yet but I did suggest that they take a look at that so that patrons could get an idea what they were serving before they got there. I highly recommend this place and plan to be making the trip up from Fort Wayne again as soon as possible.

I don't write a lot of reviews unless I highly enjoyed or majorly disliked something. This was a place I really enjoyed, so I had to share my experience. I'm not from around here, I was only in the area for the Midwest Geobash in Wauseon, Ohio, then back to Pennsylvania, I would go. But, the first night I arrived here, I wanted a pizza, but being from an area of pizza shops that cater to the Philadelphia palate, I'm pretty picky when it comes to a good pizze. I chose this place by accident, I was going to go to a place to the north, but they were packed for an event of some sort, and I'm glad they were, because I ended up here. I have never been to the state of Indiana before, yet somehow, I stumbled upon one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The crust was great, the sauce was phenomenal 👌, and the cheese was fantastic. It's hard to find a place that masters all 3, but this place did it. Not only that, but self-serve beer? I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting that at all. When I asked where my glass was and was introduced to the self-serve taps, I was in disbelief, I had never seen such a phenomenon before in my life. The employees were really nice, too, even assisted me with how to use the taps. I will definitely drive out of my way to stop in again next time I'm in the area. Whatever it is you are doing, keep doing it! That marinara sauce with the cheese bread is fire, and I highly recommend it! Will definitely pass the word on to my fellow travelers for when they're in the area.

Coterie dine in. My girlfriend and I visited here for dinner one day. We ordered the sausage and pepperoni pizza, beer cheese, and breadsticks and sampled some draft from the beer wall. Coterie has a few standout features. The beer wall is the first I've seen of its kind, scan your band, and pour your beer of choice, in a glass of choice, by yourself. Creative idea that makes the experience a lot of fun. The wooden decor is pleasing, but sound travels well inside, and it's usually very loud even without a lot of patrons. The staff were friendly and attentive. The beer cheese and bread were a definite highlight. They were incredible. The pizza was very good, but not the best I've ever had. The breakdown: The crust, absolutely perfect. Very good flavor and some crispness, but not too much. The cheese is good overall. The pepperoni and sausage were good but nothing spectacular. The sauce wasn't very good, it tastes of fresh tomatoes, and that's about it, which leaves a lot of traditional pizza sauce flavor to be desired. I would give it an honest 8.9/10. It is a great place to visit, and it's worth the drive if you're coming from Fort Wayne. The cost for our drinks, pizza, and appetizer only rang out to around $40, which is fairly affordable, I feel.

Had our first bad experience here today. Absolutely filthy. Dusty and dirty tables and chairs. Server and owner watched us clean our own table. Dishes and cups were very dirty. No apologies when asking for new cups which weren’t much cleaner, so we just cleaned the plates ourselves. Server was awkward and borderline rude. She did at least tell us the cheese bowl was hot - we’ve had instances of not being told. The entire place needs a serious deep clean, and they need to learn how to do dishes. The food is incredible, and we’ve always had good (if somewhat awkward due to all teenagers) service in the past. The tables aren’t always spotless, but this was ridiculous. There was only one other table present and this is built up dirt - sticky, caked on, greasy, dusty, and just gross. Also saw 3 people come in for carry out and receive no greeting and just rung up like it was an inconvenience. We also weren’t greeted, and again, they watched us cleaning the table and dinnerware enough to stay, after driving for 20 minutes to get there. We will probably go back because this was one awful experience in mostly excellent ones. Will update if there’s any redemption. The one thing that’s been consistently bad from the start is awkward table placement and too many high-top tables that aren’t handicap, child, or...
