We visited this restaurant based on a recommendation and drove 45 minutes from Hastings to give it a try. Unfortunately, we weren’t impressed. The food tasted like any other Mexican restaurant in the area—nothing special, nothing that stood out. We ordered the cheese enchiladas and the Carne Asada plate. The cheese enchiladas were good and served extremely hot, which I appreciated. However, the Carne Asada was very bland and tough—so much so that my husband didn’t even finish his plate. We also ordered guacamole, which was disappointing. It was watery and overripe. On the other hand, we did enjoy the cheese dip. But if you’re considering the guacamole, I wouldn’t recommend it. The atmosphere was another letdown. It was too quiet—no music, just an awkward silence where you could hear every conversation around you. To make it worse, they seated everyone right next to each other, despite there being an entire empty room available. It felt like we were sitting at the same table as strangers. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to the hype.

Pretty decor in here! Awesome chips and salsa. but an average place- It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great. Stomach side effects - bubbling. Eaten at similar Mexican restaurants and didn’t have that effect from the food. It was clean but it also smelled like cleaner. It’s very common for restaurants to smell like cleaner if they use fragrant cleaner. Nothing terribly wrong but wouldn’t prefer to order here again. Maybe if they read this they will change the table cleaner smell to odorless?

I dined here earlier tonight with family. I ordered the number seven combo with beef enchilada and chile rellenos, and it went down quite well. Service was super efficient, quickly bringing extra chips and salsa when asked. The food also arrived very quickly after ordering. The taste of all the food was excellent; I cannot fault the cooking of anything I ate. I will definitely come back here if in the Geneva, Nebraska area.

I have always had great food here, and the service is good. We eat in or get orders to go more often than I would like to admit, as there is a great selection of food and it's always delicious. They are very fast with orders and you never have to wait long for your food, regardless if you are in a party of two, or part of a group of 12+.

They do not bring your check to the table, you have to go to the counter/register by the front door to get your total and pay.

The only reason why I will not give them five stars is because, relatively consistently for at least the last four years (since I have been paying attention), if the owner rings up our food, he will ring up each meal at $1 higher than the meal was listed on the menu. I have called him on it and usually he voids the transaction and rings it up again at the price listed on the menu, but he's also told me the prices changed but they hadn't been able to update the menus, or that I "had extra cheese" (not the case), or something. I have not experienced any of the other employees doing this, only the owner. Know your menu prices when you go to pay, or grab a menu at the register to follow along while he rings you up, and then don't forget to add tax. At this point, it is just a petty issue that drives me nuts, and it doesn't stop us from patronizing the restaurant because it's delicious.

Be aware that they add a small fee to use a debit/credit card for payment, rather than cash, as many businesses do. If you read the sign on the counter that says "save money, use cash" - this does not mean you get a discount if you use cash. It means you don't have to pay the credit card convenience fee if you pay with cash. Also be aware if you get orders to-go, there may be a small fee added to cover the cost of the disposable containers. I don't mind paying convenience fees, but full disclosure of these fees is always...

Hands down THE best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever ate at. I’ve tried a lot of different Mexican restaurants across the country so far, and this one had the best service and the best food of all of them so far. The service was great for being crowded when my wife and I went there, the food was fresh and top tier amazing for us, and the atmosphere was pretty enjoyable as well. I don’t think we waited much longer than 15 minutes before we got our orders and they were beyond what we expected for a smaller town restaurant. Needless to say, we didn’t expect what we got and were extremely pleased with our experience, hope to be...
