I had very mixed feelings about this place. First off, it's in an industrial park. It's clearly marked as a brewery, but there's nothing in indicate there might be a restaurant there. I drove by it twice looking for it, unsure if I had the right place. Service was friendly. There were more than 20 beers offered, and for first timers like me, they offered a four beer sampler. I liked the honey brew best from the beers I sampled. I ordered the hot brown flatbread and loaded fries appetizer. The flatbread was awesome. The loaded fries were just soupy as they had so much of so many different sauces. Sometimes less is more, even with "loaded" fries. My buddy got a Nashville chicken sandwich that he loved. Now for the reasons I won't go back. The place only has bar stools. They are super uncomfortable and I found myself standing through part of the meal. When looking around, I wasn't the only one; four or five other guests were standing also. I couldn't wait to get out of the place, and certainly didn't feel invited to hang out and have another beer. Also, my buddy and I paid over $60 for our lunch, not including the tip. For that price, you'd think we'd get silverware. Instead we got the crappiest, most flimsy, pre-deformed plasticware all wrapped up with a napkin and salt/pepper packets. That might be okay for gas station fried chicken, but tacky tacky tacky in a restaurant. I'm not a fan of single use plastics anyway. It's much better to not continually rebuy plastic, keep them out of the oceans and landfill, and give someone from the community a job washing the metal kind. ;-)

My family spent the day here on October 13, 2024, after stopping by Evans Orchard to get some apples and pick pumpkins. It has become a yearly event now. We got there around 4 PM, and they were not too busy. We sat outside as the weather was great for it. Our server was patient with us as we were distracted with our conversation diverting our attention away from ordering. We ordered a few beers and then later mixed drinks. We also ordered pretzel bites with honey mustard, beer cheese, and ketchup, which I found odd. The starter came with carrots (that were dried out) and celery. We ordered our meals and continued to talk while we waited. After about 25 to 30 minutes, our server told us the kitchen was a little backed up. I believe the specific reason given was that the servers slammed the kitchen by submitting orders all at the same time. The food was OK and not very warm. This was not our favorite experience here. I miss the days when they had the food trucks.

I absolutely love Country Boy Brewing (not just this Georgetown location)! It's so much more than just grabbing a beer—it's a full-on experience, just like Jeff Ruby says. The selection of local craft beers is top-notch, and I'm a huge fan of the Cougar Bait American Blonde Ale. My friend with gluten intolerance appreciates that all their ciders are 100% gluten-free. The BBQ here is fantastic, and nothing beats enjoying it on their spacious patio. It's dog-friendly too, so you can bring your furry friend along for the fun! The staff here are super friendly and always go the extra mile to accommodate every need, making you feel right at home. I’ve also been to their Louisville downtown location, and it has the same awesome vibe. Country Boy Brewing really nails it with their service and atmosphere—it's the perfect spot for any brewery lover looking for a great time and even better drinks!
