Giovanni's Pizza — Restaurant in Georgetown

I stumbled across Giovanni's when seeking an alternative to Babe's BBQ on a night it was unexpectedly closed due to sickness. There are three locations nearby to mu house, but Georgetown had the best reviews, so I went there to give it a try. Upon entering, I was met with friendly staff who greeted me and asked if I was there for the dinner buffer. I said yes, and paid $9.00 for the buffet. I moved to the left to see the bar, and picked out several different slices as a sampling plate: pepperoni, cheese, sausage. I also grabbed some cinnamon sticks for good measure. Finally, I grabbed a plate of salad. The leaves were green, crispy, and fresh. For fountain drinks, they serve Pepsi products and also have sweet and unsweet tea.

The pizza was thin and delicious - light on the sauce so the cheese does the talking. The crust edge is puffy and with marinara dipping sauce would act as a good breadstick. The cinnamon stick was addicting, and I made a trip back to the line just for more of them.

The only downside to the experience (and thus loss of one star) is that some of the slices were a bit cold. However, later in the evening a fresh pie was brought out and I quickly grabbed a slice. It was the bomb! If you go at a busy time, it is more likely for fresh slices and they...

Their pizza is special in its own Giovanni way!! 💯 The perfect crust that's made from scratch, not thin, but not your original handtossed crust, that everyone is used to! 🤷‍♀️ Hey!? What can I say? 🤔❓️ Giovanni's "Original Thinner " crust?? Ha!! ✅️🤪

I'm from philly, so whenever I'm somewhere new, I always try a cheesecake to see how it compares.

Now this is partially my fault, because I had someone else pick up the order.I ordered a cheesecake with fried onions, and a order of wings. I was told that they don't have fried onions, which I thought was weird because you just put the onions on the grill, but anyway. I asked what came on the cheesecake, because some places put weird stuff on it. I was told that it's just sauce and cheese. So I asked no sauce just cheese and steak nothing else. What my partner picked up for me was an order of wings and a small pizza with no sauce on it. And the receipt says cheesy sticks. I was picking up food to eat when I was down the road later, I only stopped in the Lexington just to fuel up and swap out some of my stuff at our company's yard..
