Wriggley's Pub — Restaurant in Georgetown

Our last experience with friends was so disappointing that we’ve decided not to return anytime soon. We arrived around 8:15 PM after a pickleball game and were immediately greeted with the news that they were closing in 45 minutes when their posted closing time is 10 PM, as indicated on Google Maps. This made us feel unwelcome and the whole situation went downhill from there.

Our waitress at the bar seemed disinterested and preoccupied, constantly checking her iPhone and Apple Watch. She took our order and made our drinks, but never offered a smile or engaged in any conversation with us. We know her from previous visits and she was always friendly before, but tonight, she made it clear that she was annoyed that we were there. We stayed until 9 PM, paid our $70 tab, and even left her a generous cash tip (not sure why) but she didn’t seem to appreciate it.

It seems like the employees are the ones in charge of running the place, and they’re not being consistent with their closing times. Every time we went after pickleball, it was a new closing time. My advice to the owner is to post your closing time and stick to it. If you need to close down half of the place early, that’s fine, but don’t make your loyal customers feel like they’re...

WRIGGLEY'S PUB...IT IS "CHEERS" 100%. The owner, Nels, he could not be more kind, generous, or concerned about everyone at his place having the best time of their lives!!! I mean that. Denise, the waitress...a genuine sweetheart who works so fast and hard to get everyone's orders perfect and FAST! She NEVER fails to smile at you and greet you immediately and make you feel welcomed and SPECIAL and VALUED...that is her heart!!!! There are many employees there that work very hard and fast to make all the patrols happy. The men behind manning the pizza area sure do an excellent job...BTW order FLATBREAD with pizza "stuff'...most excellent. Now for me...I recommend on your first visit the chicken mandarin salad with ranch dressing...most excellent! If you enjoy wine...holy smokes...their POURS are huge...order a cab or a chardonney...you can not go wrong. My husband really likes their RUBIN SANDWICH! If you want a little something to munch on while there enjoying the games on the great screens or just sipping a cold delicious beer...order their chips and dip ...their salsa is excellent!!!!!!!!!! If you enjoy playing...their have a shuffleboard as well...the FUN DOES NOt StOP AT WRIGGLEYS!!! Hope to see you there...

The menu is completely different from what they have posted online, which was very disappointing. We were REALLY looking forward to trying some traditional Irish pub food, but the new menu has none at all. So we just had one happy hour drink & left.

2 stars for service because our server didn't know what the happy hour special(s?) are, and she didn't go check. When we asked what they do for happy hour, she thought about it for a second and said "i think house vodka and house wine..." no prices mentioned or dates/times happy hour is available. Very odd. Then, when we gave her our payment, she processed the card & didn't ever give us an itemized receipt...
