Was there in late August and given the wrong order but unable to eat it or immediately bring it back due to hospitalization for almost a month. Contacted them when I regained better health. Given the run around but everything they requested I provided, even had 2 nurses who witnessed the situation. They hide from and dismiss their customers. This kind of establishment is why people don't trust Nigerians. They smiled when they got my money but ducking and hiding and forwarding your call to a full voicemail when attempting to be made whole. Each of the 3 people I spoke with (wouldn't give me their name) but they each had 3 different stories and polices. I am and have been in hospital for over a month and all I wanted was the appropriate food I ordered. During this time of illness, all I wanted to soothe my pain was some Nigerian food, that I paid for. STOP hiding from your customers and do the moral and honest thing. Your business will never florish as long as you don't care for your customers. DO NOT go to this restaurant, look into the many other Nigerian restaurants in the area that actually care about their customers and work hard to do what is right, compassionate and ethical with their customers. This place does NOT value their customers and they can't keep their stories straight. Will NEVER patronize and will continue to advise against this restaurant. I always try to patronize and support Nigerian businesses but it's hard to deal with unethical, uncompassionate, dismissive and unfair to their customers. This is the kind of establishment that perpetuate the theory that all Nigerians are dishonest. SAD!!!! They behave as childish people by ignoring me and sending me to voicemail instead of being adults and dealing with the situation in a professional, ethical and responsible manner. I wish I had used a credit card instead of cash, so my bank could help me resolve this matter. Leaving this negative review about a Nigerian business truly pains my soul as I am a vocal and proud Nigerian, I wish we could have just taken careful in proper route....

I had to change my review because after eating from this place for over two years and never having an issue even being patient with the slowness of the service after calling my order in way ahead of time and still waiting around for 20 mins for it to be ready

Well, let’s fast forward about two weeks ago I went to go pick up my order and they confuse me with someone else and I get home mind you I live about 40 minutes away from the restaurant and I open up my food and it’s the wrong food so I called back and the lady said the next time I come in that she would go ahead and replace my food for free. Well, I went there today to go get my food, and, I ordered rice so I paid for that and he also charged me for fufu that comes with the soup they messed up I end up coming out of my pocket about $15 shy of $16 and it really makes me upset because why would you charge me for the foo foo that goes with the soup so basically I end up paying seven dollars apiece for two items which one of them were supposed to be free to me, but this will be the last time I go I like good customer service especially if I’m a customer you never had an issue with and I pay good money I buy all types of food from them but I really just feel like I got conned out of like $15

Had to reply back to owner I never had egusi soup a day in my life and never would ordered it so I don’t know what you are talking about that’s not even an order...

I had never eaten African food before. So just order only beef. My friend order tripe, she like it. It was to chewy for me. Po bowl tripe is more to my liking. The waitress up sold to add rice. I thought $3 maybe $5. When it came out it was in a cheap to go boxes and plactic utensils. The beef was good but if you had stew beef anywhere you tasted this, about 3 oz of meat. The plantains were like any you get from a Jamaican or Caribbean place. The rice tasted great, but it was just spice rice, no veggies or meat in it, but half the to go box full, but not worth the $18. The meal was not $18, as I also charge for beef which label a tripe and plantains. So my meal would be $28. Bottle water 1 dollar each. Beef $5. Tripe $5. Plantains $5. The total bill two persons almost $40. For 1 meal and a side. Althought food was good it not worth the price. The decor was cheat. This place looks and act like it take our place only. But has prices like it 4 or 5 star restaurant. Base off the reply I got from point from restaurant I am lower my review. Except for the rice, you can cook this food at home yourself or much at Jamaica or Caribbean place. Most restaurants run 25%-30% profit margin, my guess this place is trying run 75% -85% profit margin. To expensive and would most likely not go back, but if I did it would only be...

This African cuisine is spot-on delicious. Good customer service. The wait is long. However, the food comes out delicious every time. I am a huge fan of their Beef Suya, Fufu and egusi soup. This place is way better than the King Caribbean restaurant across the street from them. This place takes time with your food and also wraps it properly. The packaging is immaculate for to-go orders. The King Caribbean restaurant just put their egusi soup in a styrofoam container while it drips on the side and they serve it to you leaking in the bag. I didnt have that problem here and the worker's attitudes are much better. I recommend.

I was on a hunt for okra stew today. Before coming to this location, I had Been turned down by two other locations with them not having the food I wanted and giving bad customers service. I called ayo as my last resort and was able to place my order over the phone. This was my first time there. My food was hot and ready as soon as I arrived. The lady working the counter had good energy and attended to me as soon as I walked in. Once I got home and ate my food, it was better than another place I had been going to for years, so I will be back … they gave me plenty of stew and the meat options in my stew were good in size .
