This is actually a pretty decent BBQ restaurant. They way they operate it does not take long for your food to arrive once you have ordered it.

Price versus what you get is actually pretty good. For example I got the bbq plate which was just under 9 dollars. It comes with a stew, applesauce or slaw (your choice), two slices of bread, a small bag of chips, and pulled pork. But you also get one refill of your plate for that price. So if you are still hungry after eating the initial plate you can opt for a refill of the stew and pulled pork at no additional cost. The stew was amazing and extremely delicious though at first glance it might look wierd. The pulled pork was not bad at all. Their selection of sauce is a little weird. They have a mild, hot, and spicey bbq sauce readily available on the tables. The mild is not really hot at all and they do have a sweet bbq sauce they will give you in little cups. The only draw back about their bbq sauce is all them have a consistency of water they are a little thin and lack a real bbq taste. If you prefer sauce over flavor their bbq sauce is for you. I perosnall like a balance, I don't like a bland bbq sauce but I also don't like an extremely spicey bbq sauce. I like flavor with a little heat, but to me bbq sauce should not flow like water it should have a thicker constituency to it.

The staff are extremely nice which really generates a warm and welcoming environment for the dining experience. The are polite, professional, and just welcoming in general. Take out is offered and they even have a drive through if you want to get your bbq to go and bring home for dinner. Also of note is when they say they have sweet tea on the menu it's actually sweet tea! Being a southern born and raised person I like my sweet tea abd many establishments list sweet tea on their menu and what they serve you is not even remotely sweet tea. This place has the genuine article when it comes to sweet tea which goes perfectly with a good bbq meal. There is also plenty of seating here and you do get a good mom and pop run establishment feel.

Overall I would high recommend this place if your looking for a good bbq meal at a fair price with good service from...

Wow, excellent food, excellent service and friendly beyond friendly. Atmosphere I gave 5 stars despite going through the drive thru. I figured if they were as nice as they were at the pickup window, I'd equally be impressed if it had been dine in. Ok, it's just a little place, yet the attention it gets locally as well as beyond state lines, I figured it was time to try. Not disappointed whatsoever admittingly, it was so tasty, that I almost posted a picture of my empty "to go" plate and baggie that held the 🍞. They even went as far as to give me a small bag of chips to go with, yet I figured the chips would ruin the experience due to it's artificial quality, so the chips will get eaten somewhere down the road, as to not ruin the moment. 😁 I appreciate down to earth people that care about their surroundings, and offer great service and quality food for just under $10 bucks. Try getting that experience at a McDonald's or Burger King, you'll walk away disappointed and wishing you tried the BBQ Shack in Toccoa Georgia. And if you tell them that the little pink pig 🐷 on their sign sent ya, they'll probably just think you're nuts and hook you up with some extremely great food anyways!!!😂 BTW their coleslaw blew KFC's away and honestly, I could easily get fat working there, cuz I'd be eating their coleslaw straight from the bucket and probably getting my walking papers by the end of the shift. LOL thanks for the experience, not soon to be forgotten. And no, I'm not getting paid for this review, yet I'll take donations of coleslaw if that's a...

No. The locals say its good.. then they tell you but, its dry afterwards... they aren't wrong!! Our waitress was so rude, I've never felt more unwelcome during a dining experience. Not only did we mention we were from out off town to give us a moment but, we drove a good 45 minutes out of the way to go there. We were then handed the menus and asked if we were ready to order directly after that. No, give us a moment please I replied. Not even 2 minutes passed before she was back.. we ordered 3 plates hastily and waited. We received them promptly which is the only reason why they get 2 stars because the staff behind the counter were quick. I had 2 under 3 with me, they weren't loud or unruly nor did they make a mess I didn't quickly clean.. so I don't understand why she continued to be rude towards us and only us. The sauces are mustard based, the pulled pork was drier than the desert and the ribs tougher than a father on his daughters suitor and flavorless. I've never felt more disrespected in an atmosphere seemingly Christian like. It was a waste of $100 not only on my to go orders but, our plates. The worst part is I was seriously looking forward to this place for week's prior to our visit....

I wanted to try a different barbecue place because I drive pass this all the time and the line is always full. My husband and I went to The drive thru part waited like 10 minutes. Which is fine we ordered our food like lady that took our order was really nice and helpful. Got the food and left. The food was not expensive but I noticed the tray of food was kinda light. We got home and open it. Immediately I was disappointed on how it looked. Like hospital food. Idk my husband said maybe it taste better than what it looks like. Pork DRY (no favor ) the strew taste weird and the beans were sweet or too much ketchup. Overall I probably wouldn’t be coming back to eat here. It’s cheaper than a few places but I rather spend more money for better food quality. Now (Southern Appalachian Smokehouse) is a lot better

The decor has a true old county feeling that is absolutely nostalgic! Solid wood for the walls, tables, and chairs. Dale Earnhardt memorabilia, drawings, and photographs are proudly on display. I myself enjoy their pork ribs and each time they have been juicy, flavorful, warm, and delicious. To me they are fine the way they are but as to be expected, there are three sauce bottles on every table for a custom blend to suit the tastebuds. Another thing that truly hits home for me is the homemade cakes and other desserts made with buttercream frostings as an optional sweet tooth treat. What else is there to say other than if I took my grandparents here that they would remember "the good old days".
