Bella... A Baltimore Crab & Seafood CO. — Restaurant in Georgia

We arrived at this local Bistro for early dinner. Twenty minutes later we were seated at one of two of the tall tables in the restaurant. Our hostess/waitress/server was quite pleasant and accommodating as well as very communicative. Unfortunately, she was that for the entire restaurant. The space accommodates comfortably 20 patrons. 30 max in the tight space. We ordered two cocktails, their variation of the Moscow Mule and the Strawberry Lemon Drop. I liked that we could taste the alcohol in both our drinks. We got our appetizers, The mussels and Garlic Bread and Seafood Salad. Did not enjoy the Salad Salad because of type of fish used in the dish. Loved the Mussels they were tender and tasty.The space for our small tabletop could barely accommodate our water, glasses, cocktails and appetizers. After we were done with our appetizer, I had to ask the one staff to remove our finished appetizer plates. We did not have to wait long for our entrees which was the Ribeye Burger w/fries and the Sauteed Gulf Shrimp w/red potatoes. The food was delicious. I did have to remind our one staff about my condiment order of cocktail sauce. We were so close to our fellow diners that I asked how were her Lamb Chops? She said they were seasoned well, marinated and fantastic.( I will be ordering that the next time I go.) I found the price of experience was very good and worth it. The environment allowed for casual dress and I actually saw folks in exercise attire. I have found a hidden gem in my community and hope that I will have another tasty adventure on my next visit. I saw a post on IG that made me try this spot. I wanted to love it since it’s in my neighborhood but they missed the mark. The interior is super small with about three high tables, about five standard tables & bar seating. The tables are so close you can literally grab salt from whomever you’re dinning near. It’s very intimate, a dark romantic vibe.

Customer service needs improvement. I visited on a Saturday afternoon around 2 PM & there was literally ONE person assisting all customers. This staff served as hostess, bartender, server & even bussed the tables. She was pleasant but could not be as attentive because she was literally doing everything on her own. I viewed the menu prior to arrival & unfortunately the menu online is NOT updated so that was disappointing. We ordered the burger, gulf shrimp with mac & cheese, salmon bites, mussels, a mimosa & mocktail mule.

We waited about 15 mins for drinks then another 20 mins for starters, and finally another 20 for mains. Unfortunately, I was served the wrong drink but server caught it and brought it to me as soon Ribeyas she could. She also failed to put in my order for mussels & as a result it was removed from the bill because I finished my meal & it still was not ready. Someone seated nearby stated they were delicious.

Salmon bites: 5/5 - super tasty! Seasoned well & the sauce is really good. I would go back just for those. Maybe takeout 😩

Ribeye burger: 3/5 - decent flavor, a little overcooked and small.

Gulf shrimp: 3/5 - Shrimp were dry, I was expecting a sauce because it was sautéed.

Mac & Cheese: 3/5 - not a baked Mac & cheese, a a little dry. Similar to a Mac pie.

This review is for the space only, sadly we didn’t get to try the food… That said the place is the size of a shoe box 🤦🏾‍♀️. 😂 After calling and verifying accommodations I was told the most Bella’s could accommodate at one table was 7 people max. Why that didn’t send off red flags to me at the time I don’t know but the food pics and the reviews looked good so I decided to give it a try. Obviously having never been there I pulled up to Bella’s 30 mins prior to the time I asked my small party to arrive and was taken ALL the way back when I walked into a room literally the size of a hotel room. I will say it was put together okay as far as decor goes and the room included a bar with bar stools, an extended wall bench, a long table, chairs, and a hightop table was in the back corner (if I remember correctly) 🥴… Intimate is an understatement 😂 with other customers it wouldn’t have been comfortable at all for my guest so unfortunately I had to scrounge up a plan B and reroute folks in the parking lot. That said if you’re looking for a place to host a VERY small private party or a small spot to grab a drink or something with a boo or a friend this is probably an ok spot if you don’t mind being in super close proximity to other people as well or they’re not that busy… If you’re looking to host something bigger, it’s a no for indoor entertaining. I definitely want to go back to try the food. It’ll have to be on one of the days the outdoor set up is going with live music because I can’t see myself stuffed in an overcrowded hotel room for dinner & drinks 🤷🏽‍♀️ Very...
