Laid-back vibe, friendly server, but the hostess was a little too Gen-Z. Food was good for the most part, and reasonably priced, but the drinks were about twice the average. The smoked wings were delicious, but definitely avoid what they call loaded potato salad-- first, it's only about 2 tablespoons stuffed into a tiny plastic cup, and second it's nothing like a loaded potato, no real chives or sour cream, but instead I think they substituted dressing, very bleh. I would definitely return, but try the strawberry salad or the loaded fries or the barbecue sandwich instead. They had some kind of technical difficulties on the day we went, so we had to write ALL my credit card info on a slip of paper for the restaurant to key in manually later. I sincerely hope they burn that paper AND invest in a proper backup system for credit card payments. DEAR MANAGER: For a tiny cost, you can get a portable POS swiper that stores the info until it can be uploaded later. Much safer and faster.

Table service was outstanding! Food was delicious! We got fried pickles (chips) with spicy ranch dip and they were the best I've ever had! They are a must order! Skip the chips and salsa they appear store bought and were just ok. I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was really made well and strong, also adorned with bacon, lime, lemon, olives, salt/pepper on the rim and celery. I would definitely order again for sure! We were so full from the appetizers but the pulled pork sandwich and fries were also delicious. I look forward to returning next time I'm in Blue Ridge. It was a rainy day but they have umbrellas and enough seating in all weather with great views of the marina and Blue Ridge Lake. A gorgeous day!

My family recently took me here for a birthday lunch, & we all had a great time. Our server, Sharon, was friendly & efficient. The view of the marina was pretty from the large outdoor deck, which is shaded and also dog-friendly. I had the hamburger, which was large & very tasty. Everybody at the table split fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and the breading on them was nice and crispy. Minus 1 star only because the coleslaw wasn’t very good. Three of us at the table ordered it as a side, and none of us liked it. It was really bland—sweet and had no tang at all, no vinegar in it, from what we could tell. Other than that, it was all good solid “bar food” & a great atmosphere. We would definitely go back.

Small Lake Blue Ridge restaurant. The views of Lake Blue Ridge are great and it could be a great place to eat if the service were better. There is no interior seating at the restaurant...part of the eating area is covered however, and there is also an uncovered deck. We arrived around 8:15 (they close at 9) and right off the bat, our waitress acted as if we were arriving at 8:45...she was clearly irritated we were coming that late. Here's a tip, if you want to be off work at 8:15, go work somewhere that closes at 8! Our drinks were empty for about 10 minutes straight at one point and I was finally so parched I flagged her down to bring us drinks. Not like she couldn't see us...the entire covered place can't be more than 30-35 feet wide (everyone was seated under the covered part as it was pouring rain). The food was average bar food, nothing great but not that bad either...quesadillas were the best thing we had (only had 2 appetizers)...nachos were suspect. The menu is limited, which is fine, but this is not somewhere you are going to come back to because the food is to die for...because it's not. You come here for the view and that's about it. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and giving them 2.5 stars...if it weren't for the view, this would be a solid 1 star. If the service improved and the food quality was increased to decent bar food, I would probably give it a 3.5 star. But for now, it is a solid 2.5. Prices are average for what you get,...

Enjoyed the outdoor seating with the view of the marina. The food was pretty good and, overall, our waitress took good care of us. But there were two major issues: First of all, we were there for a special event and the staff knew that we would have many people coming and going through the night. However, the waitress failed to inform us that the entire table would be put on the same ticket and that their policy is not to split the bill. The fact that it's printed on the front of their menu underneath their address and phone number is not helpful at all. Thankfully, after realizing this and expressing the need for a solution, another staff member (I assume a manager) addressed the issue and split the bill accordingly. The other big problem was that they decided to shut down the kitchen early (at 8 pm on a Friday night!) and the waitress failed to tell us that the kitchen would be closing soon and ask if we wanted to order anything else. We were there for an event and expected to be on site until 10 pm at least. We had not even ordered our dinner yet. Very disappointing. These two details - large group orders and ordering before the kitchen closes - are issues that I've had addressed well at other restaurants without a problem so I don't think I'm expecting too much. In both cases, communicating the information in the beginning would have avoided the...

The atmosphere is very nice, but the service left quite a lot to be desired. I understand that it was rather busy at the time, so I have no problem with the long wait times for drinks and food. I had a few complaints about my visit, however. For starters, the live music was so loud I had to shout at the person sitting next to me (less than 2 feet away!) just so we could hear each other. My dad and I then ordered draft beers and were brought bottles instead, which did mildly annoy me, but we chose not to make a scene over it. In addition, my food, which was the butt BBQ (pulled pork sandwich) was rather bland and could've used a lot more BBQ sauce or at least some kind of seasoning. After getting the food, my mother asked for forks, which the server brought to us unwrapped. She placed them on the filthy table which clearly had not been cleaned before we sat. I understand being busy and not getting a chance to clean a table before new guests sit, especially if they seat themselves. However, as someone who works in the service industry, placing silverware meant to be put in the guests' mouths on an unclean table is absolutely unacceptable. I will not be recommending this place at all, and I will not be...
