My boyfriend and I went here for a date night, as soon as we walked in, out of the two waitresses standing behind the counter talking, one immediately ran into the back and the other stood there for a moment before she begrudgingly grabbed the menus and asked where we wanted to sit in a unfriendly tone. After sitting us down, her attitude didn't get any better. It took over 20 minutes for her to even bring us our drinks. On top of a 40+ more minute wait on our food. We sat there for an hour waiting as she literally avoided our table to stand at the front and talk to the other 5 waitresses all standing behind the counter. She purposely wouldn't look our way and kept her back to us. One of the younger girls actually had to say something to our waitress to even get her to tell us that, "Sorry the food is taking so long, they always take forever when changing shifts." How is that acceptable? To just ignore us and then tell us she's not bothered coming by because the cooks are changing shifts? To make it worse, after a completely different waitress FINALLY brought out our food, which mind you was only hush puppies and some chicken fingers, after biting into the chicken I couldn't eat any if it because of how disgusting it was! Not only could you tell it had sat there and got cold, it tasted soured!

The only good thing about even going in was the salad bar, because WE make it ourselves and didn't have to wait for the snobby waitress to bring it out. Needless to say, we will not be coming back. This isn't the first time I've heard of the waitresses ignoring customers, just read the...

I sat down and noticed rings on the paper, disposible place mat that was by the previous users glass. I ordered stuffed flounder, and tried the deviled crab. The entre comes with a salad bar, or soup option. After I noticed the aged look of the salad bar options, I opted for the clam chowder. The chowder was nothing more than a watered down version of the "Cambles soup clam chowder". There were 2 options of a roll, or what appeard to be corn bread. The roll looked good so i grabbed 2. After biting into it I quickly relized it was stale. Others at the table who opted for the corn bread looking thing did not finish it. My appetite was ruined during the first bite of my entre. I noticed that something wasnt right, and mushy. After several other bites I relized it was the flounder itself. It wasnt actually mushy but, like a paste, and had a taste to it I recognized as a fish that was caught, frozen, and thawed mulitple times. I then tried the deviled crab which was actually alot of fried bread, and a pitiful amount of crab. It was edible but, not something any one would expect to pay for. The waiter was pleasant, and nice but, in no way hygienic or professional. Frankly, he had a foul oder to him. I then noticed a woman in the kitchen reach into a bowl, put something in her mouth then continue to put her hands in the bowl. The place as a whole seemed unkept, and there was no regard for quality, sanitation,...

I have eaten at both Captain Joe's on two separate occasions, and was left unimpressed both times. The first time was Mother's Day, 2018. Our party waited for over an HOUR before our food came, and that was only after a complaint about the wait was made! The food was out immediately after that, letting us know it had been sitting waiting for someone to bring it to us. No discount was offered, and no apologies were given. The second was just recently. My mother and I both ordered the crab stuffed flounder on this visit. Despite the fish being red from the seasonings, there was absolutely no taste to it. Not the fish, or the stuffing had any flavor. I think the red seasoning was paprika.I was actually thinking it, at the same time my mother spoke! My sister had the fried macaroni, which could have been good, however, there was a definite lacking of salt, and it was like a pasta cake, very unappealing. My husband had the regular macaroni, and was disappointed as well. Based on my two experiences at two different locations, I will not be returning for a third time. To me, it was a waste of...

I went into Joe's expecting an average experience at an American diner level. Instead we got 5-star food and service at 3-star prices. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The host staff and the wait staff were great. Every meal comes with the soup and salad bar. Let me tell you, this is the best salad bar in the area. All you can eat cheddar biscuits. Great seafood. Everyone's drink order came with a mini pitcher so you can refill you glass as needed. Spectacular. Oh, and desert...naner pudding right at the salad bar. All you can eat pudding. You know this is the place.

My "catch of the day" (blackened swai) was cooked perfectly... my loaded baked potato tasted like it was leftover from lunch, the collards were a bit too sweet for my taste... the hush puppies were probably some of the best I have ever had... There are so many good things I could say about this location, but the service was just so POOR... it overshadows all the good... I'm not sure if she was busy or distracted but once she delivered my meal I NEVER saw her again... I might stop here again... but it will be awhile...

Upon entering, we were greeted by staff who were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the food was not hot at all, it looked appetizing but it was cold and not very good at all. The prices were ok but not worth the taste or quality. The cheeseburgers for my kids were overcooked and burned along with the burger buns. The pizza my youngest daughter had off the kids' menu was extremely cold. The crinkle fries were cooked twice, and they were almost burnt. The buffet salad 🥗 bar was good.
