Food is usually pretty good, but not when the grapes have mold and the tuna sandwich is falling apart and the toast is soggie from watered down mayo or too much water on the lettuce. Tuna itself was really good. Tomato was bright red, very tasty. Lettuce would have been crisp, but was soggie...too much liquid in the sandwich.
The ladies may be nice, but they really need to get their s* together, because their service is terrible. I've watched them move around like chickens with their heads cut off. None of them knowing what the other is doing, or which way they are moving. They lack coordination, and harmony, as if no one likes each other.
Made to wait at the microphone, ask about a lunch menu (really need to update the menu), someone says someone one will run a menu out to me. Wait about 3-5 min, no menu. Drive up to window, one or two of the ladies make eye contact, but do not acknowledge. Finally someone comes to the window, again ask for a menu. Place my order after asking a few brief questions to make sure they even offer "health conscientious" food, which is limited. Takes about 30-40min to get a tuna sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo, on toasted bread with a side of grapes, and a lemonade.....30-40min?
Last time I visited (6mo ago or more), I ordered eggs, bacon, toast. It was good, but again, long wait and sometimes get rude service. Heaven forbid if you should ask for extra napkins....and ladies, we can do without the rolling eyes and dirty looks. You may not realize you're doing this, but I assure it comes across as if you cannot stand your job. If that's the case, please go find...
Read moreThe food is excellent! The portions are HUGE! I have continued to get biscuits and gravy. The first time I got 2 biscuits and gravy, and a big bowl of grits. The grits are probably the best I've ever had. The biscuits were good and the gravy is at least as good as I've ever made, bordering on as good as any I've ever had....and both my grandmothers were southern cooks. The coffee is also good and hot. That first time, I couldn't even eat half of my food, but would have loved to been able to eat more. My husband got pancakes and eggs the first time. He loved his meal. We have not seen pancakes that thick and fluffy before! He's also gotten the French toast with eggs and sausage which he loves even more. So, foodwise....excellent! The other things to mention are:
Not so great service, or food. Use to be very good. We complained 1 time because of dough biscuits and completely burnt up sausage, now EVERY SINGLE TIME WE GO THEY BURN AND MESS UP THE FOOD ON PURPOSE!!!!!!! NO EXCUSE FOR THIS AT ALL!!!! This pancake was for my 19 month old grand daughter. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!! why would anyone want to use their hard earned money to buy food that is not edible??? Also a couple of the waitresses are VERY rude. We also over heard 2 of the employees talking about burning and messing up our food on purpose!!!! Who does that???? And speaking to the owner is the last thing you want to do, it's all smiles while you are speaking but once you turn your back, you will be cussed and called names. I DO NOT recommend this place at all!!!! If it's the only place open just go to another county. Don't waste your money.... I should have took more pics of the rest of our food but was upset about it and...
