Walked in had to wait for 3 mins for a server to even acknowledge us. And they wasn't even busy! Once we got sat in our booth the waitress Brooke came to get our order we wasn't ready so she got our drink order ... she came back kinda rudely asked if we knew what we wanted to eat told her we need a moment she then came back we proceeded to order the sliced brisket sandwich the waitress then asked if we wanted it wet or dry we both said wet thinking that wet or dry means sauced or not sauced... we picked wet sliced brisket sandwich when our food got to the table we proceeded to start to eat the food! My husband got a big Ole piece of fat in his mouth so big he had to spit it in a napkin. We tried to eat what we could when the server came to see what else we needed I told her the check bc we was completely dissatisfied bc the meat was nothing but FAT! THIS WAITRESS HAD THE audacity to say wet means fat and dry means lean ... now I've been to several rib country's and always got the ribs and never had this experience! But the time i want to try something different this is how it happened! This waitress BROOKE failed to fully explain what items on the menu meant or the restaurant meaning! Most places mean dry or wet for sauced and not sauced not fat and lean! She didn't offer nothing than a bad attitude and no REMORSE or SYMPATHY for her customers and their satisfaction! ... if you go to this restaurant and there is something you think you know the meaning of I would get them to fully explain bc they expect everyone to know the meaning of all food descriptions! And they will NOT compensate you for anything! And to make situations worse I didn't want a side of fries I wanted a sandwich only this lady told me it's the same price with or without fries! My husband got fries with his and we counted them there was on 12 fries in that basket! And 5 slices of burnt fat ... our meal was 30.36! And the only thing she offered after we was sick to our stomach was more food. Then got upset when I told her that the note on the table was to go to her manager! Both manager and BROOKE was not people who needs to be in the food industry! I'm a waitress so seeing her waitress skills and the lack of compassion was...

ATMOSPHERE When you get out of your car, you can smell how good it’s gonna be. Plenty of seating here, with large booths, and plenty of room. The mountain country atmosphere is excellent. The whole place is very clean with nice, large clean restrooms, and you hear real classic country coming from the speakers throughout.
SERVICE For kids, there are coloring pads and crayons. Very large drink cups, so you don’t need constant refills. Prompt, friendly service, with good advice from server. They bring out the food pretty quickly once you order, so don’t wander too far.
FOOD This is quality BBQ here. The pulled pork is somewhat smoked, somewhat plain, and tender. You can see the smoke ring, but you won’t get a heavy seasoning or heavy bark. You probably need to add your favorite sauce: they have hot, sweet, and mustard. I really loved the sweet sauce on the pork. Also, they have REAL garlic toast that goes perfect for a sandwich. (not just butter on Texas toast) Their bone-in BBQ chicken is juicy and very good. It comes with sauce on it with fantastic flavor. Their fries are somewhat thin, fairly crispy, and have good flavor, even though I didn’t notice any additional seasonings. They go great dipped in the thick, creamy ranch or spicy ranch sauce. The sauces are top notch, and I’m guessing made fresh in-house. The Cole slaw is very good as well, with some black pepper, I believe a mayonnaise base with possible vinegar, and some other seasonings that I could not identify, but really liked. The portion sizes are reasonable, and the price is also very reasonable; about $7-9 for a solid lunch here.
I plan to return as often as I’m in the area and...
Read moreDisappointed - will not be going back. This was our first time here, always saw lots of cars and decided to give it a go (Thursday Dinner). We waited a good five minutes before we were seated (there were only 7 people in the restaurant) - hostess was in the back and not watching the front. We were not the only family this happened to. I ordered the pulled pork plate with a salad and baked potato. The pork was pretty dry, and the potato tasted off (as if it were a bit old). May be a bit of snobbery, but I don't care for being served butter and sour cream in disposable cups like you get on a buffet. Put some pride in your food. My husband ordered the brisket. It looked as if it had been baked in the oven, very little char or smoke ring, kind of gray looking. The portion was also REALLY small. His fries were soft and unappetizing. He said it tasted like the brisket had been cut for a while. The BBQ sauce was ok - a bit too fake hickory tasting. The one on our table had some coagulated fat/sugar that oozed out and blocked the tip of the bottle. I had to get one off of another table. The applesauce was meh. I also have an issue with providing paper liners on a plate that someone is going to be cutting meat on. By the end of the meal, my husband had shredded his and was eating off of the metal plate underneath. (after looking at the pictures on here, not sure what happened - our meal did NOT look like these pictures - and I think we should have ordered a burger) The waitress was nice. Overall it felt like no one cared tonight and who ever in the back was just...
