Hog Heaven BBQ/Red Rooster — Restaurant in Georgia

Unfortunately I will be itchy and lumpy for a while. I have a pork allergy and always advise the waitress of this when I order. I ordered the patato soup and asked to leave the bacon off, and peach cobbler for desert. My husband ordered the brisket plate. When the food came out, the waitress advised me of pork being in the soup, so I had to send it back to the kitchen. The waitress than recommended the cowboy chicken sandwich, which I accepted. When this came out I started eating this, to realize after 3 bites, that there are bacon strips in the sandwich. I obviously stopped eating, realizing the consequences this will have to my body. We advised the waitress when she brought us the bill, and she took the sandwich off, which we appreciated. We realize that mistakes happen, and that in a place called Hog Heaven, pork is served. However what was very disappointing to us, is that we did not receive any expression of regret from the waitress. We used to enjoy coming here, and the food has always been good. And again, mistakes are made and we realize that pork is an important ingredient on the menu, so probably not the best place for me to eat. However my husband and our family and friends enjoy coming here. The brisket my husband had was good, and he thinks the pork ribs are the best. Just a shame to not receive any sign of regret for the consequences I have to live with now for the next few days, because of a mistake...

Horrible experience. All I wanted was a good burger and I would have had better luck literally anywhere else. I asked for a Mr. Pibb, but they were out, so I asked if they had strawberry lemonade…. She said yes…. And I got a pink lemonade instead… which is definitely not strawberry lemonade (a waitress should know this). Then I asked about ordering some fried green tomatoes… I couldn’t get any, they were out. Then I ordered a smoky something or other burger… it’s supposed to have bacon, cheese, onion straws and bbq sauce…. My husband ordered the same thing… both of our burgers came out with no bbq sauce. All four people in our party ordered burgers cooked medium…. Every single one came out beyond well done…. When we informed the waitress that we were missing the bbq sauce, she said “oh, we’re out”…. It’s a barbecue restaurant…. And they’re OUT of BBQ sauce? We had to drown the burger in ketchup just to get enough moisture in our mouths to swallow the burger. She handed us some hot and mild sauce… but I couldn’t even put a name to what it was… all I can say is it was definitely NOT barbecue sauce. It would have been nice to know that they were out of bbq sauce when I placed my order, I would have ordered something else… ANYTHING else… but I wasn’t given that courtesy… and the waitress showed absolutely no remorse or compulsion to make it right. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never frequent this...

Avoid avoid avoid. Horrible food. Salad old, ribs dry, beans burned. Banana pudding looks weeks old. But beyond that Mike the owner/ manager making excuses for the horrible service/food was the icing on the cake. Worst food I’ve had in Lagrange over the 10 days I’ve been in town. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Wouldn’t recommend see posted pictures.

Mike you have shown yourself to be old PRIVILEGED and vile. Your business hasn’t flourished in 30 years because your food and service are bad. Whether I leave a $200 or $2 tip for a Togo order the food and service should be acceptable. If you know servers aren’t paid much you as the owner should lessen your pockets and pay YOUR servers properly. I tip based on service and in this case $2 was extremely generous.

You’re the worst owner/ operator EVER. Hence why most people have never even heard of hog heaven and you have so many bad reviews. If you cared as much about your food as you do insulting customers you’d have a 5start establishment instead of many reviews discussing the horrible food and service. Wouldn’t feed your food to my DOG! One star isn’t low enough. Ppl read the reviews, see his response, look at the pictures and judge for yourself. FYI for those I. Town like myself there’s another BBQ within 5 miles and the food is excellent!
