Casa Pirul stands out as the premier Mexican restaurant in LaGrange, offering an exceptional dining experience that’s hard to beat. The service is outstanding, and the food is even better. What sets Casa Pirul apart is its perfect balance of authentic Mexican dishes and Tex-Mex options. Personally, I always go for the authentic meals they never disappoint.
To address some misconceptions: if you’re ordering something like a ground beef taco salad and expecting a fully authentic experience, you might be looking in the wrong direction. Casa Pirul excels at delivering traditional flavors, so I recommend venturing into those parts of the menu.
During my first visit, my server, Oscar, left a lasting impression. As it was my first time, I had several questions about the menu, and he answered each one confidently and promptly. He even recommended some of his favorite authentic dishes, which turned out to be phenomenal so good I could have licked the plate clean! Oscar’s attention to detail and dedication to great service are unmatched. He refilled chips, drinks, and brought extra napkins without us even having to ask.
Now, every time I bring my family to Casa Pirul, we request Oscar as our server. His work ethic is commendable—I’ve even seen him working double shifts with the same enthusiasm and professionalism.
If you’re in LaGrange and looking for a standout dining experience, Casa Pirul is the place to go. Skip the competition places like Monarca simply don’t compare when it comes to food quality or service. Casa Pirul truly sets the standard for Mexican cuisine...
Read moreManaged to sneak over today, the day before tomorrow's grand opening. Nice setup. A little dark in spots, but I imagine it looks a lot brighter in the evenings. Anyway, I went for the street corn appetizer (obviously one must when one is presented with the option) and yes, yes it was sooooooo good. It is so difficult to find good street corn. Finally! Needless to say, one needs many napkins and a few toothpicks... Totally worth it...totally worth it... Also went for the Enchiladas Con Mole. Very much flavorful (okay grammar police, just stop 🤓) very much mucho grande flavor. Chocolaty mole with creme'. Now, pay attention to the menu. Most of us are accustomed to rice or 'salad' and/or beans or something with an entree, but not all entrees come with what we have normalized as sides. Not complaining, just a heads-up that you'll need to order sides separately when ordering select entrees. If you're familiar with Juanito's you will recognize some of the staff. 👍 Anywho, we will most certainly be back once the grand opening flood of diners has subsided a bit. Looking forward to having another...
Read moreSo I’m going to agree with one of the comments above that the servers are doing a good job. BUT the food is horrible, I don’t know how ppl on here are saying that the food is excellent. Obviously they have never eaten authentic Mexican food, or let alone anything close. I can actually cook better Mexican than this. Now saying this, this was my second time here, came once and didn’t want to come back, but our neighbors wanted to treat all of us on our street for dinner and that was a great jester, so I went. Took forever for food to come out, my tacos were tough, my friend next to me got a taco bowl and had to send it back 2x, she ordered beef, they brought chicken, brought her a beef that was cold and nothing on it she ordered. Don’t know what’s going on with this place but they need to have an intervention with an authentic Mexican cuisine chef. I guess Lagrange is ok with these 2star restaurants. The only place so far that we found to be ANYWHERE close to good for Mexican is the restaurant Monarca next to Publix on...
