Decided to give this food place a try when this new location for JJ's Fish and Chicken opened up a few months ago. Overall I give this location a 3.5 Stars.
When it comes to their fried chicken they overcook it where its so dry its like they're competing with Wal-Mart over who has the driest fried chicken contest -_- smh. If you want any flavor of sauce on your chicken they'll just give you the sauce to dip it in instead of putting the sauce all over the chicken. The only part that's good about the fried chicken is they count the wings that's not broken apart as 1 whole-wing & For example, If anyone chooses the 6 chicken wings special then you break them all apart from each other to get 12 wings. For those who like the way they cook their chicken, Nothing against that preference at all except the way they cook their chicken isn't for me.
As for the fish they cook it just right & Anytime a customer gets chooses a 3pc fish over the 5pc fish special all 3 fish should be regular size not small strips, IMO. I usually choose the 5pc most of the time when it comes to the fish.
Yes to the Fish & No to the Chicken for now especially from this JJ's F&C location. The fries they have are alright so far & They do give 2 slices of bread as a side item with most orders.
If you come in where its not too many customers you won't have to wait as long to get the food you ordered & If you show up during the peak hours you will have to wait a bit before you get your order. Also far as calling in to place your order it has to be done before 8PM, 9PM or 10PM where they stop taking calls to place orders.
One of these days I'll go to one of the JJ's F&C locations that's been around for many years longer than this one to see if there's any difference OR If the way the food is cooked is...
Read moreI know when placing an order online they require copy of card and ID when u pick up. I had surgery yesterday so wanted to pay online and have someone pickup that is coming from another area so I call ahead and ask them how I can handle it. They tell me take a picture of my license and have the person show that and it will be fine. I place the order and immediately get a call from them becuase I also put a note in the special instructions box as well. They proceed to tell me their policy I explain my situation and they basically tell me no I can't do that. Ok well what's the difference if Uber eats or door dash picked it up. They use a different system ok. Get manager on phone he asks for spelling of my name I give it to him he sees I'm a customer that orders from them all the time online and says they can make the exception. Only for my sister to get there and everyone there act like they don't know what she is talking about and I just got off the phone less than 10 min b4. While I understand rules and fraud and everything else to not be willing to make an exception for a loyal customer who obviously is not fraudulent who is trying to let u know ahead of time is beyond crazy for me. As I stated I just had surgery so I can't drive and definitely don't need my blood pressure through the roof just trying to eat. Yall gotta do better! Then didn't add my extra seasoning ad requested. Everyone is not a crook a little empathy and understanding goes a long way! Very disappointed in your handling of this situation and I won't be returning to...
Read moreFirst order via uber eats delivery. I wanted to try food from here since it opened. I am SO DISAPPOINTED in the low quality food my family and I received. I ordered 3 4-count chicken wings with 2 sides. What was advertised versus what arrived differs very much in both look and taste. The advertised wings looked plump and fresh, golden brown. The delivered chicken wings were small, wrinkly skin and had a taste, scent and look of reheated chicken sitting under a lamp or refried. The chickens' temperature was lukewarm but the fries were hotter in temperature but were crispy, crunchy and clumpy. A few bread slices had hardened crust. I like the dash of house seasoning upon the top portion of fries and the wings, but I think it masked the odd scent of some of the wings. The first chicken wing I bit influenced me to sniff and look at it, but the seasoning hindered my efforts. The texture of the meat looked slightly dry. I know this chicken was old and yet I was charged as if the wings were fresh. I suspect the fries were idle under a heat lamp, too. The three 2 ounce cups of cole slaw was a major insult. I am dubious to order anything from here because what is shown on uber eats will differ to what will arrive. The only kind gesture from this business is the three stapled packages with the napkins, hot sauce cups, ketchup packets and plastic forks, and the stapled bag holding the entire order. Truly, I'm skeptical of what to expect from here based on this...
