Read moreThe service here was so terrible that we didn’t even get a chance to taste the food.
We got there at 6 and the place was nearly empty, ordered drinks and appetizers right away. More than twenty minutes passed before we even got those drinks—and one of them was wrong. We ordered our food then, and asked for napkins and silverware because there were none on the table. Ten minutes later, we got another wrong drink to replace the first wrong one, no appetizers, napkins, or silverware in sight. Asked for the same things again, were assured we’d be getting everything immediately.
We didn’t see the waitress (Karen) for another fifteen minutes, when she brought more wrong drinks. FIFTY minutes had passed before they finally brought us the two appetizers we’d ordered—still with no silverware or napkins. Karen had vanished, was nowhere to be seen, and we were brushed off by the other staff when we asked again for napkins and silverware. Another customer sitting at the bar felt so bad for us that she handed us her own unused napkin.
Twenty minutes later, Karen finally returned with one salad from our order—and napkins! But no silverware, still. We asked to speak with her manager, and she assured us that she’d be out immediately as she filled our drinks which had been empty for nearly an hour at that point.
Ten minutes later, we still hadn’t heard from her manager or seen Karen again. We were hungry, both of our toddlers were grumpy, and there was no sign of food or improving customer service, so we left money to cover the drinks and uneaten salad, and walked out.
Being there an hour and twenty minutes before we even received SILVERWARE was too ridiculous to justify giving the place any more of our time and money. Wish I could give this place 0 stars after the terrible service we received. We felt bad for the crazy number of people waiting there, and warned off multiple people on our...

I’ve been coming to Love’s for over 30 years for birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations. Sadly, after this recent experience, I can confidently say I will never return.
We were there to celebrate my uncle’s 68th birthday—an especially meaningful one, as he’s a rare cancer survivor and one of the few African American men to survive the type of cancer he battled. It was a huge milestone for him and our family.
We made a reservation weeks in advance for a party of 45 and had the private room. While it took nearly 2 hours for the majority of our group to receive their meals (which is already unacceptable), two members of our party—including myself—waited three hours and never received our meals at all. Despite multiple inquiries, nothing was ever brought out.
When we asked for answers, the owner/manager, Donna, was argumentative, unhelpful, and unwilling to take accountability. Instead of apologizing or offering to make things right (comping the missing meals would’ve been the bare minimum), she blamed the server—even though it was a kitchen processing issue.
To make matters worse, when I calmly told her I was a food critic and part of a dining review group, her response was, “I don’t care about that. I’ve dealt with food critics and bad reviews before. I don’t care about losing your business.” That level of disregard and arrogance was truly shocking and unprofessional.
The only bright spot of the evening was Ashley, the hostess, who greeted us warmly and sincerely tried to help once the issue became apparent. Unfortunately, her efforts were overshadowed by the poor leadership and dismissive attitude from the top.
A ruined night, a disrespected guest of honor, and a blatant lack of customer care. After three decades of loyalty, I expected better.
Bad business, Donna. Truly...
