It was OK, but far from the great experience I was hoping to have just based on reviews I saw. I promise you my standards are not super high, but they are definitely not as low as give these guys five stars.
The place is your typical beach or lake restaurant that is a bit pricey for what it actually carries, service is nice though not fantastic, the tables needed more cleaning as they were slightly sticky and the food was OK, but not mind blowing, by miles .
You get plasticware, and laminated menus that I’m pretty sure I’m not very clean . If you can carry some hand sanitizer with you, I think you will thank me. The table I got was sticky, and there was a napkin dispenser that had not just seen better days but also cleaner ones. Mine hadn’t been cleaned or dusted, resulting in a sticky and dusty dispenser, the kind of stuff that you don’t want to touch or get anything from.
The girl taking care of me was OK, but it took her a long time to realize I was ready to order and definitely never checked on me, so after I was done, I had to wait her to pop her head around my area and shake my hands quite more than a few times to get her attention .
The sandwich was OK, though it broke apart the minute I picked it up . I usually do not mind a sloppy sandwich so it was OK I guess. Fried potatoes had a weird shape and they were not as dry or crispy as I expected, but they tasted good.
The restrooms were clean, but smelled horrible really. to be honest though I do not know if the ones I use where part of the restaurant as they were outside and next to the restaurant, so maybe it was part of the complex. Nasty anyway.
Price was not awful, but I was surprised I spent almost $25 on the sandwich I got plus the potatoes plus one glass of Diet Coke. I don’t know if they do refills, but I would...
Read moreWe went to Pig Tales for dinner on a Wed. night. Had read great reviews about excellent service & food and they certainly were right! We were seated immediately. It was a little busy on a beautiful spring evening. Our server was Charleston. Easy to tell she enjoys her job and interacting with her customers. One of the best servers we've ever had, based on her bright personality & answering questions about menu items. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries & I had the philly brisket with potato salad. I couldn't decide between either mixed vegetables, cole slaw or potato salad and Charleston recommended the potato salad. I had read favorable reviews about it, so I agreed. Reviews were right, it was really good. Sweet potato fries were the best we'd ever had, glad hubby shared. Charleston noticed so she brought out a few extras for us! The atmosphere of this restaurant on Lake Lanier was very nice, lots of customers enjoying conversations & food. Much to our surprise, the couple who sat beside us paid for our dinner, which we learned after they left. Charleston took great delight in telling us about that! Wonderful restaurant for a relaxing, pleasant evening, great food and excellent service! Thanks, Charleston,...
Read moreSuper packed but the wait wasn't too bad. Once seated , the music playing was great. Put you in a great beachy feel. Our server Melissa was quick and so sweet and helpful as it was our first time. She recommended the shrimp and corn dip they had this month and it was so yummy. Tons for tender shrimp and the corn dip itself had a fresh sweetness to it and it came with soft but crunchy outside freshly baked pita type bread pieces. One person got the Brisket which was juicy and I had the burger with pulled pork on it. OMG. Huge! I literally only was able to eat maybe half of just the pulled pork on top of the actual burger and some of the amazing fries before I was stuffed. The Carolina gold was my favorite bbq sauce and I liked the honey mustard bc it had a bite and wasn't too sweet. The fries are crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. So I took my entire burger and some of the pulled pork on top of it home for dinner and still only ate half. My total for the dip and burger was about $30 bucks but for the amount and quality of the food, absolutely worth every penny. Will definitely be back to try other items and so glad we picked such a beautiful day yesterday to spend outside at this gem on the Lake. Thanks again for a...
