OMG! I live down the road from this restaurant in Snellville. I pass it often as I travel to the business district of Loganville. I decided to stop by today and try the food. It looked like a very welcoming place and so I wanted to give it a try. I must say I was disappointed, to say the least. I ordered the special of the day, Salisbury steak and two sides (mash potatoes and collards with cornbread). I waited too long for my food and once I received it, the young lady flopped, throw, or tossed my food to me as if she was playing corn hole, gave a half-hearted apology for the wait, and walked off. As I examine my food and let me say it was not appetizing at all, I notice I had no utensil to eat with or napkins. I stood for about 2 mins. to ask for something to eat and wipe with, a nice lady in a pink shirt came over and offer to assist. Well, it seems that they had no plastic utensils and napkins for carryout orders. Their truck had not come as of yet. So I guess not giving customers something to eat with was something not worth mentioning when you take an order for carryout. So, their solution was to give me napkins they found and silverware. Now I can accept that but it's how the young lady gave me the silverware. She plops it on the counter and states louder than necessary and her tone was more of frustration verse apologetic, "This is all we have! I don't know what else to do!" and walks away. Now, let's get to the food. It saddens me to say, it was TERRIBLE! The Salisbury steak was soooooo hard and tuff, I could barely chew it and swallow it. The gravy taste like a jar gravy that left an aftertaste in my mouth. The collards were saltwater flavor. I don't know any other way to describe it. No smoke meat flavor or bacon flavor. Nothing! The mash potatoes had to be instant. The cornbread was gummy! The whole meal was not worth the price I paid and for the service I received. I don't know if this was just an off day for this restaurant, but they need to get it together. They seem to have loyal customers who may be used to this standard of food and service, I guess. However, I'm hoping that my experience is not the norm for the Sisters Family Restaurant in Loganville, Georgia. I know I will not visit it again. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAlways wanted to check this place out, so I dragged the wife and kids out of bed at the crack of dawn to make it happen. The moment we walked in, we were greeted like long-lost relatives and taken to a booth that fit our crew of 4 1/2 perfectly (the "1/2" being my stroller-riding boss baby). Amber āaka Mom's favorite, according to her uniform shirtāintroduced herself, radiating the kind of energy you wish your alarm clock had, and got our drink orders rolling ASAP.
While I sipped on orange juice so fresh it probably had a sunrise in it, Amber took our orders. Then, BAM! Before we even had time to wonder where the food was, it magically appeared, and we were left in awe of the glorious hot portions. Seriously, these plates were stacked like they were training for the Olympics. The food? Absolutely mouthwateringāso good it made me question why I ever bother cooking at home.
The vibe here? Like stepping into your grandmaās house but with way better antiques. The walls were covered in enough antiques to distract both me and the kids, which is basically a miracle due to me making them leave their iPads at home. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would, but since I canāt, Iāll just dedicate myself to weekly pilgrimages for more hot,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here. Not a good first impression. The staff were a bunch of rude "mean girls". Seems like the place is ran by teenagers with attitudes. By reading the reviews it seems like maybe they're the spring break crew. Also, the kitchen was playing rap music loud enough to be heard in the dining room and it's a Sunday. I was only annoyed, but if I were very religious or with small children I would've been showing my butt about it. Food was ok. I ordered the mushroom burger, the waitress didn't ask how how I wanted it cooked and just walked away. When she came back to refill my mom's drink I added how I wanted it cooked and that I wanted ranch for my fries, which forgot to bring out with my burger. Speaking of ranch, I expected something better than prepackaged. I was looking forward to a homemade dressing. That and my mom's salad smelled and tasted like it was out of a bag. Really disappointed after reading everyone else's reviews. I'll give it a second chance one day. Hopefully the kiddos will...
