I ordered treylawny fusion kitchen food through DoorDash since I’ve eaten here before in person. I asked for it spicy with gravy over the rice. I ordered jerk chicken insane +extra gravy on rice. I asked the doordasher to please make sure utensils were in the bag. That should be basic, right?
Well, my food shows up and the plantains were mushy, the rice had NO gravy on it as I asked, the spicy level I asked for was WRONG and overall it was just nasty and tasted rancid. A total waste of $25 dollars Plus I was told the lady at the front, rolled her eyes and caught an attitude just because she asked for silverware. Really? How you running a business and mad you have to give UTENSILS out with your food? I should not have to eat with my hands!!!! I’m already spending $25 on nasty food now I have to eat like a savage too. Great.
When the real cooks are in the back (the man who usually is back there) , it’s better. From the sounds of it, this time the only one working was the same rude lady from the front. She’s had an attitude with me before too like she hates her job or something, now she’s even being nasty to DoorDash drivers who are just trying to do their job.
Nobody wants to spend money at a place where the food is wrong and the customer service is worse. Attitude mixed with bad food is a recipe for a closed business. Thank you and...
Read moreThe food is good overall, not the best I've had but it's good, probably some of the better Jamaican food in the area depending on what you get and they offer a variety of different items - wish there were conch fritters! The jerk sauce seems to be too sweet for me but others may prefer it that way. The atmosphere is chill and they have events every so often. The people treat you well enough most of the time, customer service is quite good overall. Sometimes they forget small requests/items with the order, though. Usually dine-in experience is better than take-out. Drinks are good. But, like some of the other reviewers say, if you ask for a drink with no ice, they don't fill the cup up all the way even though it's about $5 or so for a small cup. The last time I had the ginger pineapple juice, it tasted like pure ginger with no sweetness or flavor from the pineapple at all which was a little disappointing although I appreciate the fact the juice is homemade. I had asked for no ice but I was given ice anyway. There's another Jam restaurant literally about a light or so down the road and they charge about the same amount of $ for their homemade juice, but they don't add ice and they...
Read moreI googled and made reservations at this "hidden jewel" for our monthly Diva Luncheon. We were totally and pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Yes, the outside of this restaurant displays their catchy name, but it's actually appears kinda out of place for this area. You'll see it's definitely something about it's "first impression" visual, that draws and begs you to take a peep inside. The owners have done a great job of utilizing the space in their seating plan. There are padded booths as well as tables and chairs that allow for larger grouping. We even noticed their bar area has available seating. The Jamaican vibing sound is at the perfect level for private conversations. And our food choices were, appetizers veggie spring rolls. Main courses Red snapper, orka, mac & cheese, plantinian, Main course Veggie pasta, Main course Oxtail, beans & rice, mac, orka. Everything was delicious. We ordered several sides to go and will return with family & friends on our next, of many more, visit. This is friendly owners operated restaurant. We love this spot. For the Divas, It's...
