The Deck — Restaurant in Georgia

Experience a Sunday sunset lake view dinner spot. The food was much better than I expected from a marina restaurant. The shrimp tacos were plentiful for one adult; the mushroom burger was very large with double patties. Overall it the food was tasty and plentiful. Unfortunately, the service was poor. Although there seem to have been enough waiters to cover the tables (about one waiter per two tables), we still waited about 20 mins for our order to be taken and about 15 for someone to bring our check. The atmosphere is proper of an open marina restaurant with mainly boating customers: come in as you are. Ducks and ducklings roam around the restaurant and under the tables picking up scraps - cute. There is an RV camping ground close to the marina and customers can walk or come in with their golf carts. Although the food was very good, the overall service and experience was not me...

My brother and I discovered this great little lake side resturant a couple of days ago. Being from Bradenton Beach Florida , we are use to boating up to the dock and going inside as we did at " The Deck". The atmosphere is awesome, we were greeted with smiles and could smell awesome food. I had the All American burger, two huge patties, with everything. And tots. My brother had the chicken wings. Their wings are huge. And cooked to perfection. I know good wings, I make my own wing sauce for years. Our service was awesome, and not only did our server check on us ,every server that walked by greeted us and asked if we needed anything. The next day my brother and I were back on the boat and headed rite to " The Deck" for more food. And again it was great. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite. Thank you guys. Keep up...

The food and service were good. The prices are very high. I expect a premium being on the water, but it’s a bit much. They took a nice local restaurant a couple years ago and split it into two restaurants. A very, very expensive stark house and The Deck, which I guess is suppose to be closer to the way the old place was. The worse part is they’ve enclosed one side in plexiglass. It gives a nice view of the water but also turns into a green house. It was extremely hot inside when we were there. They have fans, but they did...
