We went here for the first time to support the owners of BB bagels who own both establishments. The bagel shop across the street just suffered a bad fire that destroyed the majority of the building. We LOVE the bagel shop; but unfortunately, the pizzeria is not a place we will likely try again anytime soon. It is extremely small and fairly uncomfortable. Although I think they do a significant portion of their business as takeout and delivery. As far as eating in, there looked to be 3 booths, I think 3 high tops, and a bar to sit and eat at with about 5 stools. Note it is not a liquor bar, just a long shelf to sit and eat at.
The food itself was hit or miss. The pizza was swimming in grease with my pepperoni pizza only having a single slice of pepperoni per piece (albeit each pepperoni slice was big). My wife and Mom's veggie pizza was also heavy on the grease, to the point all 3 of us had stomach aches the rest of the night. Not a fun night :( Their caprese salad on the other hand was fantastic, with an amazing dressing. We definitely will be stopping by in the future to grab one of those salads for a lunch to go! The garlic knots were also pretty good and very different. I think they were fried. We might consider trying a completely different Pizza that doesn't have greasy toppings, like a BBQ chicken or something similar.
I think Vincenza's could be a decent place for someone who is looking for a convenient place to grab takeout on the way home, who loves Italian salads, and possibly orders one of the specialty pizzas that have less grease or doesn't mind it. All the best to the owners though and we hope to see BB's back...
Read moreHow to lose a customer? This is both sad and unfortunate but Vincenza's Pizzeria recently demonstrated to me how to lose a customer within seconds. As someone who has visited this establishment on more than one occasion, I was thoroughly disappointed when I attempted to purchase a few slices of Sicilian pizza this past Saturday. I arrived around 5 PM and approached the counter to place my order. I told the teenager (who wore glasses) that I needed 3 Sicilian slices. Immediately, I knew this was not going to end well based on her reaction. She appeared very confused and stated they did not have any more Sicilian slices. Knowing that Vincenza's closes at 9 PM on Saturday's I asked the young lady could they make a fresh Sicilian pie. Her response was "we are not making anymore for today unless its an entire pie" which immediately caused me to be confused. How can a pizzeria whose sole purpose is to make pizza refuse to provide me with the product that they are in the business of making? Sadly, this leads me to my own conclusions that my business is not good enough unless I'm spending a certain amount of money. With that said, you will never have to worry about me spending money within your establishment again. Again, you just demonstrated to me how to lose a customer.
P.S. don't ever get too big that you forget that a business cannot survive without...
Read moreIf they are "open" when the sign specified on the door... that would be a great start! Have been here in the past and staff was not very friendly but the pizza was pretty decent. It's run by what I imagine is the owners son and his friends, who all never appear to want to be there. And if you ever get coupons, just throw them out because they are most likely for corporate events only... and they won't honor them if you're having a large party... like 3 XL pies.
OVERALL: GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!
So it had been several months since I've been here, and SURPRISE SURPRISE, Nothing's changed! Was greeted and stood at the door waiting to be instructed to seat yourself or where to be seated... No one said anything. We just grabbed a booth eventually.
The lady walked past and said you need to order up front. I thought to myself, we are the only people in the joint and you can't take an order for 2, out of convenience? Wow! Just wow. (We ordered a med pizza nothing fancy)
So we order and they are all out of drinks in their fountain drink machine so we are directed to grab bottles from the fridge, selection was about 4 different drinks. Sigh...
Radio/music was skipping constantly. Very annoying.
Just stay far...
