Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

UPDATE: If you can imagine a freight train going downhill with no brakes… welcome to this Waffle House. My wife and I went out for a Friday night bite. We walked in to what was maybe 60% restaurant capacity - not a single person with food in front of them. Three servers and one cook were present and not a ONE of them was doing a thing besides the cook making a couple of orders. All three waitresses stood around talking amongst themselves without ever even greeting us - let alone acknowledge our presence. Waited for over 20 mins at our seat, had to go find a menu then after still not so much as a word from the staff, we left. At a different WAHO nearby and enjoying speedy service and tasty food. Such great experiences in the past at the location tarnished by sheer laziness. Time for a re-staff…

Moral of this story- if this location has more than one table sat… expect to wait 30 plus minutes to even get acknowledged, and after all that your meal won’t be right the first time around. Tonight was my LAST straw with this location. Upon walking in, there were two tables that were close to being done, a guy alone at the bar, and a group of four waiting for a table. Meanwhile every table in the place was dirty. Instead of cleaning, the two ladies that were working were chit chatting. Finally after 15-20 minutes they started slowly cleaning. I ended up asking if I could just do my order to go. The lady told me to give her 5 minutes. She went and checked on her one table and then proceeded to chit chat with the cook. Finally, I got my order in (it was the only one the cook had at the time.) nothing crazy, just an all star meal. It came out wrong. I told them the correction. It should’ve only taken 2 minutes to remake the eggs. Instead I stood there for 10 while the rest of my meal got cold. We walked in a 2pm to an almost empty place and sat at a booth that was next to service area and close to the door due to me being an amputee. As our food arrive, an employee came over and started scrubbing the floor next to us with a chemical which smelled strong to me. After a minute or so I started to feel nauseous. I told the employee, but was told this was his job and he just kept work. I asked to speak to the manager, who rudely asked if I needed medical attention or did i have an allergy to chemicals. He said we should have just got up and moved?!? I'm sorry but, that is not how you treat a customer! Was told that because this was a 24 hour operation... I should just put up with it. The store was empty... the worker could have started at the other end first, giving us time to eat or they could have told us to sit away from there before starting the cleaning.
