Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

I’ve been to 3 Waffle House restaurants in the last 30+ years. Basically because my first experience was not so good. I gave this one a chance, and I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Looks like an older restaurant, didn’t look in the restroom, cause who needs to? Workers that were there were very polite and doing their best to keep up with the orders. Lots of locals eating here, which to me, is a good sign that it’s a decent place to visit. The best thing I witnessed, was that my waitress was in training, possibly her first day... and they threw her right into the breakfast hour. She did an EXCELLENT job, and for anyone out there who thinks that everything should be faster... I’ll wait an extra few minutes for my food to help a new person get experience in doing things right, rather than slop the stuff down however it lands on the counter... Quality... As for the food, I don’t have a lot of Waffle House experience, but I can tell you I ordered the same thing here as the other places, and the dish here was twice the size, with fresher ingredients, for the same amount of money, AND it was served up like a picture, by a smiling friendly face. So, end of story... if you can handle nice crowds of happy locals, trash can stealing alligators, and lots of good filling comfort food... this is definitely the place to pin on the map for your next good...

Called to place an order last Sunday and was put on hold for 15 minutes until I got there and placed my order in person. This Sunday I was not put on hold as long, but it took them a VERY long time to finish getting everything ready because they were just talking. All the food except for one item was sitting on the counter when i got there about 10 minutes later. I walk out with my food to find out I didnt have my sausage. Okay, easy mistake. Go back to get that fixed and wait some more. I finally get home with all of our food which is all cold at this point. Pretty much everything was undercooked. The "toast" was not at all toasted and got thrown away. Hashbrowns were not scattered like requested, eggs were undercooked, the sausage I had to go back in for was undercooked and in a puddle of grease in the container. Essentially almost everything was undercooked on two separate plates. There is no excuse for the experience we had today. Unfortunately we will be going somewhere else for breakfast from now on. I understand that the server was only following instructions from the supervisor who was not on site. I was greeted with "you can't park your SUV and trailer in the parking lot, you will need to move it to the road where there are signs posted saying no parking anytime" I had my handicapped father with me (only 1 leg and in a wheelchair) and I wanted to park in a reasonable way to provide access for him. There was only 1 customer car in the lot, it was late at night and while we are only 2 other people came in and one was the special friend of the server. The bathrooms were dirty, obviously hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time (I'm a plumber so I have seen it all), and they needed some repairs.

Next time I travel through this town I will avoid this location.

Obviously the supervisor doesn't tell the staff to use their own judgement about the parking lot, if it had been busy I would not have even pulled into the lot with the trailer. Guess I will take my money elsewhere,...
