The Float — Restaurant in Gig Harbor

We came in with 6 adults & one child this morning 12/18. Was immediately hollered at from across the bar by one of the employees that we would need to sit in the extra room. Our waitress Olivia had attitude as soon as she walked up to our table. Rude about our drink order, waited 20 min before she took our food order. Watched 3 other tables, one was a 5 top, come in, order, eat & leave before we had to ask where our food was. She snapped at a woman right in front of all of us, that was just helping refil our drinks while we waited for our food, about using the wrong cup for our kids drink! Chastised this woman about how much trouble she was going to be in for using that cup & dont you ever do that again. Very sarcastic rude tone in her voice & snide comments or huffing when we ask for basic service, like it was an inconvenience that she had to do her job & wait on our table. 3 stars across the board cause it's an old bar atmosphere, with an old bar bathroom, bar service (dont be in a hurry), and bar food!Now, let me explain... There are pros and cons to the float! We have tried it for breakfast several times... sometimes it's so slow and busy, and the staff is tired (great breakfast food tho- like a diner). But, other times, the gals are happy and having fun and serving quickly. They are just real people being themselves, so don't expect professional (after all you are going to a dive bar for breakfast!) If it's sunny outside go somewhere with windows ;) this is a dark bar atmosphere all day. Now, if we are talking about after dinner, it's a totally different story. We go here on Friday and Saturday nights, and it's our favorite place! Love the staff, they are so much fun. Love the kareoke and the live bands. It's a great place to get loaded and dance like a fool for hours with everyone else that is loaded and dancing like fools!...

Very disorganized. We went in before 12, wasn't busy much. But we had a group of about 10 of us only 8 of us ordered, and it took an hour and a half to be served. 2 of them didn't get what they ordered, they were brought something else. My friend got a burger and it had to be sent back 4 different times because it just kept coming out raw. The drinks were refilled and they put ice tea in my root beer, so it was a mess. The table of people who were sat down before us, got their food a good 15 min after us, which they even brought up how they were there before us, so they waited 1 and 45 min for there food and there was only 4 of them at that table. Food wasn't great, i think the salad was the best thing out of all the food ordered. So I'm only rating based on my experience and my groups experience. I'm not saying it's like that everyday.
