I can only share my experience. Coming off the road from a long drive, I decided to get a meal from a smaller restaurant in a small town, hoping to be able to have a better experience than bigger chains. I waited for nearly 5 minutes before a waitress saw me and they were not very busy at all. I just ordered the cheeseburger and baked potato. The cheese was yuck, the meat was dry and overcooked, the bun was really small and it crumbled in my hands as I tried to eat the bites I choked down. The lettuce was turning brown and the potato was still dry after smashing 12 servings of butter and 3 sides of sour cream on it. That's no exaggeration. I don't even think Jen was supposed to be waiting my table, but she was much more attentive than the girl that initially took my order. Jen really did shoe that she was concerned about my satisf,, even offering to reduce the bill. I appreciated her kindness and concern. There were a few other costumers there that seemed content, so maybe I just got a the luck of the draw lol I did see that another customer had fried chicken that looked amazing, so If I return, I'll give that a try. I hope they fix the burger and potato situation though.

Stopped on our way home from Indiana and had a delicious meal. Chicken fried steak was piping hot as were the fries. And the fries were delicious! Broccoli was surprisingly good as was the coleslaw. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. We were very happy with our meal. It's not a fancy place, but the food is good and the price was right. Destiny was our server and she did a very good job. Open until 9p every night.

The food was great! Priced very reasonably. All the staff was friendly. The restrooms were clean, and everything was stocked. In the service station area, they had a self-serve Dunkin Donuts coffee area and everything from trucker hats to cards for your friends and family. Semi parking was abundant, and you don't have to walk a mile to get to the restaurant. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend Lucy's.

My wife and I and two friends went to Lucy's Kitchen for lunch. The place was pretty crowded yet I only saw one waitress. We all ordered our food and waited a really long time to get it. Among other things, I ordered two sides; a loaded baked potato and broccoli. My potato arrived, it was just a potato wrapped in aluminum foil. I reminded the waitress that it was supposed to be loaded. She left and returned with a plate with a little shredded cheese and a few crumbles of bacon, no sour cream, despite her telling me that a loaded baked potato came with sour cream. I then asked her where my broccoli was. She told me that they were out of broccoli. She asked me if I would like a salad or anything else in its stead. I ordered a salad. A few minutes later, she returned and told me they were out of lettuce. I ordered some french fries, which turned out to be pretty bad. Oh, well. The rest of our food was acceptable, but not great. The waitress was clearly overworked. She could have used some help with her tables. I sympathize with her. All things considered, it wasn't a great dining experience. I doubt...

This is the only place that I ever have gone to in my 61 year-old life, in which the cook takes a bite out of your food!!! I ordered a pork chop and eggs, and when the pork chop arrived with a bite-size triangle cut out of the pork chop, I asked the waitress why it is that the Cook took a bite out of my pork chop? She said he was checking the temperature. What kind of place has a cook that takes a bite out of your food in order to check the temperature? The piece that was cut out was not still on the plate, he ate it! I told her I thought the Cook should pay for the portion of Pork Chop that he took a bite of if he’s taking a bite out of everybody’s food all day long it should be taken out of his damn paycheck! I do not understand people who think it’s okay to eat a customers food. I think there is something missing in their mental facilities and that nobody should accept that the food that they are paying for is being eaten by the cook! I advise all travelers on I 57 to just say NO! to Lucy’s Dinner...
