Cozy Coffee Station - Gilmer — Restaurant in Gilmer

We stopped in while passing through the area Saturday afternoon and ordered a Hazelnut Latte and a London Fog. The atmosphere was really nice, it seemed like a great place to hangout. As for the coffee though, the barista never put espresso in the Latte, which is a little perplexing considering that in a correctly made Latte the espresso goes into the cup first. We didn't discover this until we were on the road again, so we called them as a courtesy to let them know. They were very kind and offered us a free drink to rectify it. I'm sure someone was having an off day or perhaps learning. The milk was also excessively frothy instead of the "microfoam" which is characteristic of a well made Latte. I wasn't impressed with the London fog either, they definitely didn't let it steep, and used "great value" brand tea that didn't taste anything like an earl grey. This place is the best for all your favorite coffee drinks and great foods! But the best part about Cozy Coffee is the atmosphere! It’s such an awesome place to meet up with friends for a beverage. So much more than caffeinated drinks like Italian Cream Sodas. They have a nice variety of breakfast and lunch options. Absolutely delicious! Many original things you can’t get anywhere else. A brightly lit open space with high ceilings. A selection of board games to play while enjoying your coffee and snack with kids and adults alike. Two little girls made straight for the game shelf when they entered, and their mom bought them a pink treat. Clearly, this is a positive place to visit. They have a large wall mount for business cards. So if your looking for a local business to meet your need, stop on by, and grab drink. Less expensive than the Starbucks nearby.
