We have stopped here about 3 times in 3 yrs first time we could not eat the burgers for fear of food poisoning, 2nd time we figured the first time wad a fluke, we were wrong, last time we chose different. No burger. Here's the deal... their burgers are mush! It's like biting into a burger made out of soft or wet cat/dog food. It's just not normal. I have never in all my travels, including eating at mcdonalds in Europe! This last stop we debated for about 45 min as we were driving. Due to traffic we had opted to just pick up some bratts at a circle k we stop at to fill up on our way home but hunger got the best of us & we decided to get something else like chicken & fish. But while waiting for someone to eventually take my orders. I messed up. I got the chicken box for me, & the burger box for my husband (no fish box offered & it slipped my mind. my husband would try fish. Soon. Chicken was good, but if you are looking for crispy, forget it. Positive note I did not get sick, so it must have been cooked to temp. But sad to say, my husband was not too happy he had a burger. He could not eat it the mush. I'd love for the owner of this place or even a McDonalds representative from the parent company to explain why this place serves mushy soft burgers. (If your 80yrs old & have no teeth, you could gum this burger, no problem. These burgers are just wrong. There's no grease, but moist with? Water? All I know is I will never eat a burger from this place. Every bite the thought "is this bite going to make me sick?, is this bite so contaminated it's going to kill me." Then you just can't & spit it out. Onto the help... the service is great when you get it. As I stood there waiting to order, 3 employees walked past me. Not one acknowledged me in any way or asked I I I I'd I needed help. Eventually, a young girl came & took my order but was unable to answer a single question. She had to go to the back to ask, one time the poor thing went to the back to ask my question & people were running back & forth & everyone was ignoring her. I signaled to her & just said not to worry about it. (I felt bad for her) Cleanliness... the place just had that feel/aura that it needed & past due for what I call a GI cleaning, then over to the drink section the entire tray was dirty, the cashier came over to wipe it down but it must be acceptable to get a used rag out of a cold dirty water & plopped it down to wipe the entire tray, leaving behind a tray that looked cleaner but definitely twice at wet. It prob. Clean just an old overcrowded place. Personal Recomendations--- If you can skip this place...skip it. Gas station / convenience store food is actually way better. If you do eat here, please do not get the burger! Idk what they are serving for burgers, but it's not right & how they are able to continue to serve...
Read moreI recently visited this McDonald’s location, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I’ve had at the chain in quite some time. The quality of the food truly stood out—it was prepared properly, served hot, and tasted fresh. While it did take a little longer than usual for the order to be ready, the wait was absolutely worth it. The extra care and attention that went into preparing the food was clear from the very first bite.
What impressed me even more was the effort and professionalism of the staff. Working in fast food is not an easy job, and it often goes underappreciated. However, the team here deserves recognition for the pride they take in their work. From the way the food was presented to the courteous service at the drive through, it was evident that they were committed to doing their jobs well.
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to overlook the value of a meal that is both well-prepared and served with care. This McDonald’s reminded me that even in a familiar setting, excellence can shine through when employees put in the effort. I left not only satisfied with my meal but also with a genuine sense of appreciation for the people behind the counter who made it happen.
I would highly recommend this McDonald’s to anyone in the area. If you don’t mind waiting just a little longer for your food, you’ll be rewarded with a meal that’s prepared the right way and service that reflects dedication and hard work. Kudos to the entire team for...
Read moreI'll be honest, it wasn't that good. Then again, it never is. The food was NOT hot and the burger had way too much ketchup. It had so much ketchup that it was oozing out all over and the bun was soggy. Nasty. 😝 If I hadn't been driving a long way to get home at night, I would have returned it. I didn't notice until I was some miles away and was too tired to go back. Another time I went to this McDonald's, they removed an item that I had ordered without asking me if I wanted them to do that, so I left without it. So annoying. NOTE: On a more recent visit to the NEW McDonald's in Manistique Michigan: The new McDonald's in Manistique is no better. I bought a Sausage McMuffin and hash browns today and it was loaded with grease, actually dripping with grease. The paper food wrappers were covered in grease and it upset my stomach. 🤢 The online survey didn't work so I called and talked to a manager. The person clearly didn't care at all because she didn't offer to do anything to correct the situation. They didn't offer a refund, coupon or anything. It's a small place with few seats inside. It doesn't matter which McDonald's I go to, I always end up with a bad experience. I just found out that it's the same owners for all three locations: Escanaba, Gladstone and Manistique Michigan. They clearly don't care about complaints. I'm...
