Fudge Factory Grill & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Glenns Ferry

If there had been an adequate number of employees available to provide service, it may have been acceptable. The manager was very pleasant and so were all the patient, small-town customers. But the positive aspects end there. The food was about the same quality as a high school concession stand. (About 4× the cost of McDonald's, but food that'a worse.) Some of it was cold. Most of what we ordered was taken home for our dog. We never got refills or were ever checked on after our food arrived, which took a half-hour wait. Then for another 15-20 minutes I waited in line to pay my bill as some people came in to get ice cream and everyone's orders (including my family's entire meal) was added together on a calculator while referencing the pricing on the menu. They probably should stick to just selling ice cream. But by the time we were ready for dessert, I had already had more than enough of that place and gave them far more of my money than they deserved, so we got dessert...

We came into the Fudge Factory very hungry after having a terrible experience at a different restaurant nearby. When we came in it was packed with patrons and we were worried we would have a long wait ahead of us (after waiting over an hour to not get food at the other restaurant). We decided to stay and give it a try and we were very happy. We were greeted and offered a chance to order our food pretty quickly. The lady that took our order ran it to the back of the house quickly. We were able to find a place to sit after some other patrons left while we were ordering and while waiting for our food we were checked in on to see if we needed to order or if we needed anything. Our food showed up pretty quick and was delicious! The service was excellent as well. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area and would highly recommend this place. Great job...

Stopped at this place on the way to the Bruneau Sand Dunes on our trip to the ocean and it was good. Although our wait was long, due to being busy, the food was good and the young lady waitressing and operating the register was genuinely nice, apologized for the wait, and gave a free scoop of ice cream dessert to our 14 year old at the register. In our modern era of poor customer service, it's nice to encounter kind and good service.
