First off, thank you for taking time to read this review. I have added some pictures as well, and I want to start from the top. I took my mother to the Hill 0n 03/14/24, for dinner. Now I want to analyze the receipt and make comments and observations from the start to finish. First, we sat down and ordered drinks. I had Two tall Coors light tap beers-(25oz beers) at $5.00 dollars a piece. I viewed that as pretty decent. My Mother had a short (Screwdriver) that was very weak, and on the receipt they charged an extra dollar for the Orange juice. The question here is, are you serious? An extra dollar for orange juice. A Screwdriver is Vodka and orange juice, that's what it is. We ordered food as you can see on the photos of the receipt. My mother had a chicken strip basket. With French fries which was a simple.Twelve dollars, and the dipping sauce (Barbeque) was at no charge. I ordered a chicken mushroom and swiss which was $14.00 dollars. I did a few small changes. I opted for Onions rings instead of French fries. The upcharge was $2.00 that was reasonable in my mind. I asked if it was possible to put just a strip of bacon on the sanwhich as well. I didn't think much of it, but I saw on the receipt that is was $3.00 for a strip of bacon 🥓 that's insane to me. The sandwich didn't even have lettuce or tomatoe, so i asked for a piece of lettuce and a piece of tomatoe. I didn't think anything of this. $2.00 for a piece of lettuce and 🍅 tomatoe. Mind blown looking at the receipt. Also on the receipt it says (EXTRA DIP RANCH TWICE) these were not extras the sandwich and onion rings didn't come with any dipping sauce, so an extra charge there again. So to add my sandwich and onion rings up the totsl cost $21.00 dollars and an extra $1.78 for a tiny amount of dipping sauce. Thats insane in my mind! Also i have listed the non cash adjustment here which was $1.99, im not entirely sure what that is about. I asked the server and owner owner about these charges and they were both standoffish and rude in my opinion. So i made up my mind at that point that i would not be tipping, or returning. Going out is supposed to be a fun event and a nice time in my opinion, but this place was so pathetic and stingy that the experience was not worth it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully this helps.

What a disappointment. Have been visiting The Hill for years and normally receive prompt service from start to end. For some reason all was different this evening. We found a table immediately but waited several minutes to be acknowledged. Drinks ordered after a few minutes afterward then waited nearly 15 minutes for anything to arrive. Further 20 minutes waiting to place orders. Near 30 minutes from order until first food arrived. Appetizer delivered without plates, napkins, or flatware. Another 30 minutes for next food to arrive - near 60 minutes from order until final plates arrived. During this time another table gave up on waiting and left. Parts of the order were incorrect: missing sides without any information why (informed only when asked) and some specific details missed. Other parts of the order were somehow done well - crisp hot fries with sandwich and delicious mac and cheese. I don’t know if this was a staffing issue or what led to this unacceptable situation, but it will be as long time before again considering a return.

Server was very attentive without being annoying. Food was all great, drinks were made well and all prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend.

WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS. Unless you like paying a lot of money for plain food. Just got a takeout order from Hill. None of our food had toppings including the extra toppings we had to pay for. After looking at our receipt, they charged an ADDITIONAL 15% "Service Fee Gratuity". So, our 4 burgers ($35) 2 chicken sandwiches (charged $12 per basket plus $2 upgrade per basket on fries and gave us spicy chicken when we didn't ask for them), $9 cheese curds cost $86.69!!! Remind you, none of these came with toppings. Bun, meat, bun. Went back in to get at least the gratuity back and they refused. "The Gratuity is an extra tip for the cook and can't be refunded without the manager who won't come in to refund." Why am I forced to give the cook a tip especially when our food was not complete? How can they charge an extra $11 gratuity?? We won't go...
