We were staying at a local hotel and found this place.

There were two things we wanted to try but were not available. One was fried asparagus, and the 2nd was the prime rib. They were out of both.

They were busy upon arrival. The staff was nice and pleasant. Our waitress was nice and on top of our drinks. It was nice to ask for something extra and done the first time without a reminder. For example, on my house salad, I asked for extra ranch. As you can see, there were two containers of ranch.

My son ordered the steak and lobster, and it came with two sides. He chose the Cole slaw and French fries. The fries were descent, and the coleslaw was good. He ordered the steak as medium. It was a little overcooked, and his steak was tough. They do top your steak with a garlic butter. The price was around $28.00.

My daughter ordered the chicken, which has barbecue sauce and cheese on it. As you can see, it came with a slice of cheese on top and not shredded or sauce cheese. She didn't care for the cheese part. Her chosen sides were baked potatoes and a Ceasar salad. She enjoyed the baked potato and salad.

I ordered the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and house salad with extra ranch. The steak was descent but not the greatest. I ordered the steak as medium. It was cooked more than medium. I enjoyed the salad and the ranch dressing. The mashed potatoes were good, and the brown gravy was descent.

I ordered a margarita and it was mediocre. My daughter wanted a lemonade, and they said they could make a cherry lemonade. The lemonade was really good.

I would come back to try other items on the menu, but it wouldn't be a meal. Probably a lunch item.

Customer service was great. Prices are a little high considering the quality of food. Our total was $86.07...

Me and my family came to take out food here, we were greeted by a short blonde host who had a bit of attitude a very dismissive tone talking with us. Me and my family are Hispanic and my dad may have a bit of an accent but that doesn’t constitute you to act like we’re not worth your time. We ended up ordering our food which was 3 burgers (each 9.99) and a ribeye steak+mushrooms (19.00) so in theory it should’ve added up to 52-53 with taxes. The hostess charges us 63$ and since we paid with card she just gives us a receipt of the card being approved. We sit down and notice how she attends the next local customers with a better attitude. I talk to my mom and tell her 63$ sound high so she asks the hostess for the actual receipt and tells her we were overcharged, the hostess looks a little nervous and proceeds to “look” for the receipt the next couple of minutes. She then miraculously finds it and says “Oh you’re right! I’m so sorry I must’ve added a zero there by accident!”. If she would’ve added a zero to any item on the receipt the total would’ve shot up much more than 10$.. She was just trying to sneak a 10$ tip off of us. HA, no way especially after how rudely you took our order.

Besides the service the food was decent, the rib eye was very juicy and tender, and the fries were perfect. The burgers were a little dry, but with the extra mustard and ketchup I had it was no problem the tomatoes and lettuce...

One of the worst dining experiences I've had. We had a pretty large group so you expect a little longer wait for food, ect... but this was ridiculous! Took forever to get drinks, orders in, get refills... When food finally came out it was only a couple people's at a time. It was awkward to eat while others next to me didn't even have food yet. We were there for about 2 hours, most of which was just sitting and waiting for service. We never did get our bills brought to our table even after going and finding someone to ask. Our group ended up going up and waiting at the register to pay. When someone finally came out to ring us up we explained we didn't get our bills yet... she seemed to care less and just stood there. Finally, our waitress came out of the back and distributed bills. Never once did we get an apology for the wait or anything. The atmosphere felt like we were the ones bothering them by being there. The food was ok but nothing to brag about. The best thing I had was an onion ring and a fried pickle from our shared appetizers. Would not recommend or ever...

We came to Silver Lake for a week of camping. The owner suggested Open Hearth and we are glad he did! I read excellent reviews and saw a lot of good things about their fried asparagus. It’s seasonal and near the end, so I’m glad we ordered some. My wife and kids don’t like asparagus but I do, and I demolished the entire order. Service is very friendly and the food was delicious! Beer was good too. Lake perch, grilled ham and cheese, and Caesar salad are featured in the pics (and the asparagus). My wife said nay-nay to me snapping a pic of her plate. We would definitely come back!

Great little spot to grab a meal. Service was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Wife had the fresh perch and it was hot and delicious. Daughter had the beer and cheese soup and the chicken Alfredo which was also tasty (huge portion). Son had the kids cheeseburger which he crushed. I had the open faced hearth burger which was not bad. The molten chocolate dessert was fantastic. Warn chocolate cake with hot fudge and caramel sauce with a side of vanilla ice cream. The kids destroyed it. Can definitely recommend this one!
