Unbelievable! Was gassing up at the Kum & Go by Launch Cafe, and decided to support local, instead something ghastly that I would regret. My colleague and I, I'll call him Jimmy, because that's his name are very much food snobs.
The service at Launch was wonderful, the place looks super clean and comfortable, and we both ordered a bacon breakfast burrito. We get tired of the mediocre food that is unfortunately too rampant in the outskirts of Denver.
We both thought the burritos were EXCELLENT, and the coffee I had was really good. I make my own coffee from freshly ground beans and use a French press every morning, so I am not happy with coffee around here very often, as it always tastes like water that someone set next to some coffee beans for twenty seconds. This coffee was very good and nice and strong.
All the ingredients in the burrito were of very high quality and the ladies at the counter were very professional. The gent making our burritos walked out to us from behind the counter and wished a very nice day and a safe drive, made eye contact, very pro.
Super big fan. Because the place was quite fancy, and modern, I was anticipating the portions to be rather small and not worth the price, but being the big eater I am, I was completely satisfied with the amount of bacon, eggs, out of this world and so tasty cheese and the potatoes were perfect.
The staff, the quality, the great taste put me in a fantastic mood for the rest of the day as we headed west to work up in Grand Lake for the day.
It's not easy to find good fast food around here, there is the Krispy Krunchy Chicken in Elizabeth, (not the ones in town), the brats that Gloria cooks in front of the Home Depot on Wads, just north of I70 and this place. Extremely Elite!
Launch is on our to do list as often as...
Read moreAs a staple of the local scene, it is nice there is consistency with their hours, coffee choice/extraction, and great seating options. I'd like to present some reviews for consideration of management.
Food Review/ Price Increase Very Apparent: A "cup" of the chili, both vegan and non-vegan seems very pricey at the current price of $8.50/$10 respectively. The vegan chili is very spicy and very tasty though- must love onions. There should be a bowl option for that price and slightly less for a cup. Consider making rice/beans the starch/protein instead of quinoa to lower costs.
"Smothered nachos" for $18. The cheese appears to be store bought shredded cheese heated up barely in a microwave with the dispersed placement of cheese not equal. If the green chili is the reason for the huge price, then consider having a base price for certain ingredients and adding as the customer chooses for extra upcharge. The price is concerning and the dish is memorable for the wrong reasons.
Staff: (CUSTOMERS-TIP YOUR BARISTA AND STAFF ALWAYS, THEY RELY ON THIS IN PAYCHECK) Efficient experience though not memorable in terms of how I felt after. I appreciate the staff bringing food out to folks. It was around noon in the day so perhaps staff is tired but when chatting among themselves, they seem to be much more happy. The light switches off when taking a customers order. I understand the mundane task of taking orders can be exhausting though. Does this mean that management could include a small 5 minute break to go outside, breathe fresh air and reset for all staff if there is a low point in service?
Thanks for taking the...
Read moreWell I just moved in across the street and figured why not try this spot since I live here I’m gonna become a regular. Convenient location. Staff is nice. At least the lady that took my order was. I ordered an avocado toast and added an egg. I was super excited to get my order…..however after some time. I eventually got my order in a to go box. (I’m dining in) as I was waiting I was thinking to myself. Ok. These guys have a drive through for car orders. I was thinking to myself if I drove through the drive through I might have received my order faster. Not sure how they prioritize Dine in orders over drive through. To my next point. I was definitely not expecting to get this oversized to go box. When I opened it. I wasn’t rly sure if it was my order. At first glance I thought it was like a potato salad and that they confused my order. So I went to confirm and sure enough it was my avocado toast. Tbh I was disappointed. (Shrug) I wasn’t going to throw it in the garbage so I did eat it. It was alright, all things considered. I’m not exactly sure if I’ll order this again. Which is a bummer, I may or may not give this place another try. Vibes10/10 Food presentation 0/10 I’m going to try the avocado toast im my buildings venue and see who...
