Long but honest review: I visited this establishment 2 weeks ago. I had called prior regarding types of cheesecake flavors they had. When I arrived (last stop of the day), someone had came and almost emptied out their cheesecake supply 🥲 She thought I sent someone to get them. That was my fault. But let me tell you, I was not disappointed!!! I purchased an assortment of cheesecakes that she had left, fruit tart and assorted danishes. I must say, they have the BEST cheesecake around!!! I have ordered and purchased from other locations but Marla’s is the best! What makes them the best? The cheesecake itself. Even without toppings, their cheesecake (important) is delicious. Definitely try them when you go along with a plethora of other things. I understand why the other customer tried to empty out their supply lol. Oh, and the danishes didn’t make it home lol. I get my nails done next door at Moxy Nail Bar and I stopped in to see what they had about a week or so ago. You know those Oatmeal sandwich cookies that I think Little Debbie makes - well I saw they had the homemade version so I went for that. When I say that I could barely get my nails done I am not lying! I kept trying to use my free hand to eat the cookie - the filing was so good! Fast forward to today- I own a small business here in Goldsboro and I wanted to bring some goodies to an office I was going to so I remembered MarLA's and headed over. I was greeted by Liz, the same person I met the first time and she was beyond helpful.. so sweet and patient as I picked out all the goodies I wanted to get. My husband and I visited today. It is AMAZING. My husband is Filipino and was able to find some of his favorite treats! While they do have treats from the Filipino culture, they have bakery items geared towards everyone’s taste buds. They have desserts by the slice, or you can order cakes from them. The ladies there today were very warm, inviting and knowledgeable about all of the items they sell. We were able to talk with the baker there and we asked about everything under the sun and she was glad to answer questions. If I could, I would give 10 stars. Worth...
