Rufus' Restaurant — Restaurant in Goldston

We were passing thru and found Rufus' on a Google search and had to stop cuz of the name. Arrived 30 mins before they closed for lunch and were worried it was too late to eat. Thankfully the girl at the register smiled and told us to sit wherever we liked. I ordered the BBQ sandwich and my husband ordered the BBQ plate. The BBQ was good but seemed to be missing something. What that something was I couldn't tell ya but that's the impression I got. We both ordered pie for dessert, Pecan and the Chocolate mud pie. Both slices were delicious. I loved the decor (even though I'm a devout Coca-Cola girl) and the small-town feel of this place, just really wish the BBQ would've been better. And even though we were there so close to closing, service was great and not once did we feel like they were rushing us to get up...

We arrived here a few minutes before closing, ate fairly quickly, my friend had 2 bites left and scrubby guy comes outta the back to ask my friend if he needed a box. My friend said no, he only had a couple bites left. So then scabby guy from kitchen tells us they close at 2, they wanna leave, then asked me where I work so he can come to my job and keep me after closing. Umm yeah Billy Bob, get outta the food biz bc Ive been a waitress most of my life and its never acceptable to run people out and say sh*t like that to customers. Quit whining Billy Bob, or get another job. As far as finding somewhere else to eat in Goldston, I would expect the same from this meth head looking...

We waited 40 minutes for 2 plain burgers with literally just patties and cheese on them no mayo or nothing we werent even asked what all we wanted on the burgers meanwhile other people got the burger all the way and some with lettuce and tomato but ours were plain and BLAND we used ketchup but even that had no taste. Wish there was an option...
